  Not exactly what I was looking for By RJ on March 28, 2014 Review submitted for Hamilton Beach Custom Grind Hands-Free Coffee Grinder, Platinum, 80365 (HB80365) Pros: It grinds... Easy to clean Well thought out Cons: Doesn't like grinding small amounts evenly. Some may think cord is not long enough. Other Comments: I bought this for grinding coffee. For some reason or other I thought this was a burr mill - my fault entirely, not the manufacturer or vendor. Should have expected that a burr mill would cost more. The problem is when you put just enough beans in to grind for a single cup of coffee, there's so little in the grinding chamber that there isn't enough material to keep everything in contact with the blades. So you end up with some partially ground beans while the rest is ground to the consistency you want. Add enough beans, and the resulting grind is consistent. A burr mill doesn't care how many beans are put in the hopper, everything takes it's turn through the mill. Haven't tried using it to grind spices yet, but I would assume the same problem would occur with small amounts of spices. Anyone grinding more than a couple of tablespoons of beans at a time will probably not experience the same problems. I would still recommend this to somebody looking for a counter grinder, just with the warning of the problem grinding small amounts of beans/spices.
