BUT, about half the time it will not connect wirelessly, I have to use the router(linksys E4200) and printer connection wizard to get them to connect. He wishes I had ordered one with a document feed but that wasn't on his wish list at the time. Even without a doc feed, you can scan mult pages of the same file - the program asks if you are finished with scan or continue with more pages. Photos are phenomonal though we won't use that frequently. B&W printing really fast, can choose a fast/economical print for less ink if it something for personal use. Easy to install. Takes about 30 - 45 minutes to install the printer. Includes a 3 foot-long USB cable, that may not be long enough for the average user; no big deal if you connect to an Ethernet or Wireless connection. I listed the "footprint" as a little large because I couldn't position the printer on the 10 inch wide computer desk shelf above my monitor. While the main body of the printer is 12 inches deep x 18 inches wide, you need to allow another 9 inches of depth to account for a 4 inch paper handling cartridge at the rear of the printer and 5 inches for the paper tray at the front of the printer. Printer is noisy on initialization & calibration; but no big deal. Amazing print quality. I printed a low resolution image on the 4x6 photo quality paper and it looked like it came out of a professional photo shop. While I didn't time it, the photo printed "fairly quickly." I look forward to testing the scan & two-sided print capabilities of the printer. At this early stage, I'm very pleased with the printer.
