It worked fine while plugged into the house. Then before leaving I turned it off but left it plugged in so electronic module was still on (for remote control and button sensing). I unplugged the motorhome which automatically switches to modified sinewave inverter and as soon as that happened an internal fuse on the heater blew. I've since wired that fuse to an external fuse holder. The manual doesn't warn against using with an inverter, but when I called they agreed that that was an issue with these units.
