Other Comments: The feature which led me to choose this bag over the myriad available is its superior protection--this model has the attached cover--against driving rain and windblown dust and sand. Attaching the cover to the bag and providing a pocket for it was a stroke of genius: the cover is always readily accessible (it is not packed at the bottom of the bag, underneath all one's gear, nor is it forgotton, stuffed in a drawer at home) and can be deployed instantly and easily. This bag also provides superior protection against bumps and rough handling; it is very heavily padded and the contents could likely withstand even falling or being dropped. I carried professional film cameras for many years, the sort built like industrial equipment, the sort which could be used as a weapon, to protect oneself if needed. When I acquired digital gear, I realized that the roles were reversed: the digital camera is a completely different animal from the Nikon F and F2 and, more than anything else, it requires the protection from nature, the elements, weather, and from human fumbles and foibles, that this case can provide.
