Pros: My first thought on why I bought it are: well engineered laptop, good processor, video card, expandable ram, and has m.2 expansion slots that are easy to access. I am actually rather impressed with the over-all design and the factory 2 year warranty. MSI has been making large strides forward in quality over the last few years, and this is no exception.
Cons: Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 was not as smooth of an upgrade as Microsoft claimed it would be. The last model used Windows 8.1, and this current one comes installed with Windows 10. The keyboard lights and customization properties do not work properly with the software that it shipped with for some of the units. You can download the correct drivers from SSE's website, and it will work perfectly. It's just an additional step before using it. I have seen a few reviews with complaints over this, and I am glad it is just a small and easily fixed issue.
The other small factor that could use some improvement is the battery life. It tends to last me about an hour under light to medium load. I was expecting it to be short, but I think they can improve upon this.
Other Comments: So far, it is a great unit. I have not had any issues with it, and it is running noticeably better than the other models I was considering in the $1000 range.
