The zoom range is perfect, and the build is sturdy and durable. The clarity and contrast of this lens is top notch, and the VR functionality does make an appreciable difference in what you can do in low light. The only con is that this lens is on the heavy side compared to some other lenses with comparable zoom ranges, so it may get a little weighty on your shoulder if you're walking around a lot. On the other hand, this also is what gives it a more stury, dependable feel. Overall, a nice product for those who want a more substantial upgrade from a kit lens.
