Pros: Size, Durable, Nice Bokeh, Bokeh
Cons: Heavy
Other Comments: This is thee portrait lens. It makes you look like a pro if your not. The only thing I wished it had was the smw motor of the newer g version but nevertheless it blows away the competition is used properly. I even prefer this to the zoom lenses like the 80-200 and 70-200 because of its small size. It become my crown jewel of lenses when it comes to portraits. Some day I will own the 1.4g but until then I continue to use this beauty.

Pros: Durable, Nice Bokeh, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Easily Interchangeable, Consistent Output, Rugged, Strong Construction

Other Comments: I've long been waiting to own this amazing piece of glass and was worried I had built it up to be more than it could deliver. Not so, on the D700 this is a superb setup for portraits, and is a great/fast lens for candids. Amazing bokeh!
