Verified Purchase Review submitted for OCZ Technology OCZ SSD Upgrade Kit (OCZSSDUPGDKIT1) Pros: Good price, Ultimately It Did Work, quick shipment Cons: Software Instal Glitchy, Enclosure Broke W 1 Use Other Comments: I was upgrading the hdd on a second hand laptop that had no driver, os, software discs. As such, I was overly cautious & bought this kit to assist. The kit did include everything discussed but expect the hdd enclosure to be extremely cheap (it fell apart during the migration) & the acronis software to be a very abbrievated version. The most difficult part was using the acronis software. During installation it kept asking for a code that was not included in the kit. I tried various things but ultimately emailed OCZ & Acronis. OCZ wrote back quickly but indicated that they assembled the kit only & had no knowledge of the software installation. Acronis never responded to my various contact attempts. Ultimately I found a work around on a couple of blogs and was able to install the software. After that, everything went smoothly. The migration did take several hours but was ultimately sucessful. I would only recommend this product under a couple of conditions. 1. You get it really cheaply (ie. under $10) & 2. You are a computer novice and/or you have none of your original driver/OS/etc discs AND you're unable to create them. Otherwise, I would recommend just picking up a good quality HDD enclosure (& usb cable if some reason you don't already have one) & go from there. If this is your first HDD upgrade, you can find pretty good info online to help you out w/o this product- but this product does make everything pretty easy.
