I took it to Cuba and shot almost 800 jpegs and .mov files. The pictures are excellent. I can't find a way to reduce the picture size when it is taken. It would be great if I could find a forum on the net for users with a Q&A. I have only used the camera on "AUTO" since I find the other options difficult to figure out. One nice plus is the ability to attach a voice comment to a jpeg photo. Very handy for noting what the subject was after taking the shot. I would recommend this camera. It performed very well. The additional lenses that come with it are excellent. I only used the UV filter to protect the lens, the other filters I haven't tried out. The flash unit is still to be tested. Cons: The movie (.mov) files don't play on my Windows 7 computer. I've tried two different software products with no success. Additionally, the jpg picture sizes are huge, usually 3.4 GB! I had to compress them individually. The manual is screwed up. It is only 31 pages (in English), but some of the information I required sent me to pages in the 40 plus range...these are in French! It would be nice if the camera case that came with it would allow space for the lens. You have to remove the lens in order to place the camera in the case. I have not used the case at all. Even though this is how I make my living that doesn't mean I'm rich. I wanted to get the most bang for my buck and this camera came out on top. The main thing that caught my attention is that the sensor in this camera is the same one found in Olympus's top of the line cameras. Yes this model doesn't have the weather proofing and some other things the top model has but who cares, the image quality is the same! If you like shooting HDR's don't look for another camera, this one is it. You can do auto bracket 7 exposures, amazing! The auto focus is fast, even with the kit lens. Also you can use the touch screen to put the focus exactly where you want it, really a superb feature (too many to list). The high iso capability with this camera is also incredible especially considering this has always been the 4/3's downfall, well not anymore. Lastly, the kit lens is excellent. Will I buy a prime lens or two, of course. But if you cannot afford to buy any other lenses then don't worry, you'll find this lens to be very good. If the images aren't sharp it's your fault, don't buy into all the hype about all kit lenses being sub-par. Unless your're a pixel peeper you'd be hard pressed to tell this was a kit lens. Always stop down to F/8 or F/11 for best image quality. This camera and kit lens combo will not disappoint. Don't think twice about buying this camera, you'll be glad you did. I almost forgot, this is a very small and light weight camera/lens combo. It won't make you regret bringing it with you and carrying it around all day.
