Other Comments: I originally bought this to record interviews, but I realized that because of its size, I can take it with me everywhere to record notes and memos. While you do hear a lot of 'white noise' in the background, the recording quality is very good and picks up sound well from further distances. Perfect for lectures, conferences, interviews etc. The display is easy to read and the controls aren't too hard to get used to. I haven't used the mp3 playback yet nor have I tried it on my computer, but I bought it specifically because it is MAC compatible.

Other Comments: Happy so far with my WS-500 It was smaller than I expected but getting used to it. Controlls are small but surprisingly easy to use. You must access the on-line manual to fully understand all the features. Built in speaker was a big plus for me.
