I loved the old one but $350 for a new bulb made me decide to just research a projector with some new technology. My only problem with the old was that I could not watch football on it, as the images looked too scrambled.....but this one looks great. Crystal clear images even watching football. My favorite thing is std mode which uses 5000 hours looks as good if the same as highest setting. this is a major plus!! I actually painted a screen which is awesome, likely more awesome than what you'll usually purchase, however the contrast level isn't the greatest. Blacks could be better, whites are fine though. Its mostly noticed during watching movies however nothing bad enough to pass the pj up on. That would be very stupid on your part!! Its great!!
