1 out of 5 stars   Do not buy for home use!!!
By J.P. on April 23, 2011
Review submitted for Optoma PRO250X MultiMedia Projector (OPPRO250X)
Pros: Easy to focus, Easy To Set Up
Cons: Hassle to get repaired, Poor Quality, Poor connection options, Not good for home uses
Other Comments: I bought this projector for movies and gaming at home. The projector claims to have a resolution up to 1080p, however it does not have an HDMI hook up, so the only way to reach that would be through a computer connection. Also the projector broke after 6 months and it was an extreme hassle to get ahold of anyone from optoma. After reaching a person I was told that I needed to go online and fill out a form and fax it over. Then they would give me a number and I would have to pay to mail it to their headquarters in CA. They went on to say if it is under warranty they will fix it and mail it back, however if it isn't I would have to pay them to fix it and pay to get it back. Then I asked for a refund and Optoma wouldn't give me one because I didn't buy it from them.[...] i've been dealing with this since January...)Long story short, this is not for home use. If that's what you're looking for, go with a more known brand. You get what you pay for...

Pros: Easy To Set Up, Great picture quality, Intuitive Controls

Review submitted for Optoma PRO250X MultiMedia Projector (OPPRO250X)
Pros: Sharp Picture, Durable, Lightweight, Powerful, Easy To Set Up, Good Focus
Cons:
Other Comments: I use this for presentations and has a good quality picture which is bright enough to use in a fully lit room. I was disappointed that it has no USB port. I'm sorry I didn't buy the more versatile Epson Wide Screen HD. 200.00 more but worth it

Review submitted for Optoma PRO250X MultiMedia Projector (OPPRO250X)
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Lightweight, Durable, Powerful, Good Focus, Sharp Picture
Cons:
Other Comments: We wanted a bright projector that was easy to use with a variety of hookups. We use this for movie nights at our community outdoor swimming pool. We start the movies at 6:30pm so there is still plenty of sunlight and the projector shows a nice, bright image. We have been very happy with it.

4 out of 5 stars   excellent except for a couple of details

Review submitted for Optoma PRO250X MultiMedia Projector (OPPRO250X)
Pros: Lightweight, Powerful, Easy To Set Up
Cons:
Other Comments: I picked up a couple of these for a stage production that required them. Small, bright, and with a good variety of picture presets (be sure to check them out, I was quite frustrated with pix quality till I found them). Options like direct power on and auto power off make them good choices to put up in the lighting grid. Limited zoom range made positioning more critical than I would have liked.
I recommend this product Yes, I recommend this product

Review submitted for Optoma PRO250X MultiMedia Projector (OPPRO250X)
Pros: Powerful, Good Focus, Sharp Picture, Easy To Set Up, Lightweight
Cons:
Other Comments: Bright picture even with the shades up. Screw type height adjustment is pretty limited. Has quick power up and sync with PC. Very easy to operate even for casual users. Excellent focus and image. Much better picture than our previous Optima that was VGA which we thought had a good image until we saw the image produced by this one.
