Review submitted for Optoma 3D-XL 3D Box Engine With 3D Glasses (OPT3DXL)
Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Set Up, Energy Efficient
Cons: Confusing Remote
Other Comments: I use this product on my optoma 3d ready projector. Nice smooth picture quality, easy to set up. I guess I need to buy an extra emitter in order to make the remote control to work with this item.
I recommend this product Yes, I recommend this product

Review submitted for Optoma 3D-XL 3D Box Engine With 3D Glasses (OPT3DXL)
Pros: Interfaces Well With TV, Energy Efficient, Easy To Set Up, Clear Sound
Cons: No remote, Poor Interface
Other Comments: the thing is a lot easier to set up than you think it should be. It pretty much does all the work for you, and even though my projector can only project 3D at 720p x 120 Hz, when plugged into the PS3 and stereo system--the ps3 kept telling me that it was on 1080p, which would not allow me to get 3D!!! and there was no way of changing it... Then I got frustrated and almost threw in the towel for the night, and just turned it all on and let it reset whatever it had to and played, and the 3D-XL did all the work for me, it even took the 1080p 3D and downscaled it to project in 720 so that it could be read by the projector! CON--- My projector is crystal clear on the wall that I have created for it, and before I got this machine for the 3d, my computer did not have any problems running at 1080P or 720P or 1366x768.... Now, with everything plugged in normally except for the new 3dxl--I get ghost images from the computer for no reason at all!! I have tried many many things to fix this, but no matter what I do, it stays there... it is as if the unit is trying to project in 3d even though there is nothing there at all telling it to do so, and there is no way to change it... when I plug the computer in without the unit, it goes back to normal crystal clear again... it doesn't make any sense.... When I play a game on the computer, the ghosting goes away, but on the main menu or when trying to read for school online, it is really hard....

Pros: Easy To Set Up
Cons: NONE
Other Comments: Well worth the money - you wont find a better 3D solution if you are on a fixed budget. I purchased my GT700 Optoma last year mainly because of this add-on. It does everything I expected and more. Where else can you add 3D to an existing system for this cheap?? you can't.

Review submitted for Optoma 3D-XL 3D Box Engine With 3D Glasses (OPT3DXL)
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Interfaces Well With TV
Cons:
Other Comments: I am using the Optoma 3D-XL with a Samsung 3D blu-ray player, U-Verse TV tuner, and a Viewsonic 3D DLP projector. The pictures are amazing! It works will all 3D formats I have thrown at it like blu-ray (checker-board), U-Verse (top-bottom), and misc. videos (side-by-side). I did need to call Optoma tech support and get a firmware upgrade for it to work with my U-Verse, but it was a painless USB thumb drive update.
