Pros: Extremely small - perfect for the car or the side of a laptop. I can literally put my entire collection of music CD's converted to MP3 onto one of these, and plug it into my car and have hundreds of hours of listening.
Low cost - I paid about $1 / GB.
No bloatware or takeover software --- just storage space.
No special drivers -- works fine on Windows XT or 7.
I found the smooth/raised/cylindrical end to be easy enough to grab onto when removing.
Cons: The "loop" is too small to attach anything but fishing string. My old thumb drive I would attach to the metal loop on the badge/lanyard I wear at work. This loop is too small to do that.
Get's pretty warm when plugged in, whether in use or not. Not hot, just warm.
