  Panasonic Limix FZ200 review. August 09, 2014 Review submitted for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 12.1 MP Digital Camera w/ CMOS Sensor, 24x Optical Zoom OPEN BOX (PNDMCFZ200KOB) Pros: I am a DSLR shooter but I wanted a lightweight Point and Shoot for just walking around. The Lumix FZ200 offered the Leica lens so it was the choice. The camera is producing very sharp images and is working well. Cons: The menue has been aproblem for me.   Panasonic Lumix DCM FZ200 Bridge Camera By Rob A on June 16, 2014 Review submitted for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 12.1 MP Digital Camera w/ CMOS Sensor, 24x Optical Zoom OPEN BOX (PNDMCFZ200KOB) Pros: Lightweight, Excellent lens with 2.8f through zoom range which extends to 24x optical The camera is very versatile and the perfect travel camera for those who don't want to lug their SLR and equipment everywhere. This camera has almost all the features of my DSLR. The articulating rear display is large and easily visible allowing full view of the shot before taking it. The focus lock is one of the most useful features on the camera and the variety of focus modes is as good as any DSLR I have used. 1080p video capabilities are excellent! Cons: Outside of the point and shoot mode, this camera can be a little intimidating to learn and the factory supplied manuals are of little help. Fortunately there are excellent online tutorials to teach you how to use the camera. The only weakness I have seen is a little loss of quality shooting in low light conditions without flash. That's to be expected of a small CMOS format, but the camera makes up for the shortcoming by excelling in all other areas. Learning the camera's capabilities will also help users take excellent shots in all conditions. Other Comments: I purchased this camera specifically for a take-anywhere anytime camera. The fact that is shoots excellent video was a plus. I specifically wanted the Leica lens because of its 2.8f throughout the zoom range. This is the only model that has the Leica lens in the Lumix line. I was not disappointed as the FZ-200 exceeded my expectations. I wanted it before a recent trip to Hawaii and Beach Camera was flawless in their execution and delivery. They will be my source for cameras in the future!
