The first one is some 7 years old and works like new, excepting that the batteries will need to be replaced within the next year or so. Bought another system essentially to get the two wireless handsets. This is one of the very few systems that has a headset jack; and, headsets are the only way to go for longer calls or if you need your hands to write stuff down. I might even buy another identical system to have as a spare or as gift for someone in the future. Works great in and around the house. Range is limited to 300-400 feet from base. Still, not bad. I like the clarity while talking, no humming noise. Speakerphone on cordless good be a little louder. Menu items and other functions a bit much to figure out and remember afterwards. Overall I like the clarity and I'll get use to the rest. Menu and functions are more complicated for someone who like things simple but want the quality. When entering numbers in phonebook, whatever phone initially used, you should be able to enter them in all in phones from one.
