Other Comments: This is an awesome SSD. I bought it as an upgrade for my early 2011 MacBook Pro and while I had friends tell me what a speed difference an SSD could make, I never truly believed them until I finally had this installed and functioning.
I bought this model because it was so highly reviewed by everyone who had tried it, but also because I wanted to get hardware that was as close to OEM as possible for my MB. I had heard mixed reviews about OCZ and other SSDs and decided it was worth the extra money for the Samsung. I wasn't disappointed.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars, and not a solid 5, was price, and nowadays that can be a big consideration for people. Still, even though there are other, cheaper options for an SSD upgrade this is HALF the price of what buying an SSD directly from Apple would have cost.

Other Comments: This is my second Samsung 830 series drive, and I'm very happy with the quality. Not only are Samsung SSDs fast in my experience, but they are also reliable. I haven't experienced a single issue with these drives - something I can't say for other SSDs I've used. When it comes to data reliability, I don't think it makes sense to make any compromises by trying to save a couple of bucks or gaining a couple more benchmark points.
