I did alot of research before getting this camera. this is the widest lens camera you can get that will still fit in your pocket. Also, beachcamera[@] offers the f2.8-5.8 lens version while other sites like [...]sell the f2.8-7.4 lens version. this version is far superior especially for low light scenarios with the zoom. f7.4 would be very bad for low light. In short, get it from here because it is cheaper and the better version. To digress, the flash is strong and the camera looks sharp. takes excellent photographs in bright light and very good with macro photography. the low light performance is similar to most point and shoots. 12mp gives you the ability to crop photos without losing too much detail. The HD video is great. the memory card i got is the Transcend 8 GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Class 10 {TS8GSDHC10 } it works great. the camera takes the pictures fast. and for $20 you cant beat it. it is available on beachcamera[@] also. I am very happy with my purchase and plan to use this camera a lot in college. Also i would get a case that hooks on your belt. i got that in [...]for $14. hope this helps. Overall the camera performed very well. The images are typically vivid, well focused and nicely exposed when using program modes. In full auto modes the images tend to be overexposed and the camera selects a higher ISO setting than is ideal for best image quality. Image sharpness may be a little soft for some tastes but provides nice portraits. The AMOLED screen is outstanding; the wide angle lens likewise. I bought it for my wife, so she could have a quality camera that could also fit in her pocket. I think it's also a good sidekick to my Cannon D30. The picture quality is fantastic, especially for a P+S. As with most P+S's, the colors are very vivid. We took the camera on vacation and were very pleased with its balance of portability, options, and photo quality. If you want to use the preset settings, keep in mind that the "auto" or "smart" setting isn't very good at picking up action shots. Lots of lag time. The best preset for this type of situation would be the "active children" setting. As with any camera, though, you have to mess around with it, see what settings work best in various situations. This digital overlay on the photos includes retaining walls, perennial flowers, trees, shrubbery, soil, mulch, stones, patios and decks for design and contruction of appealing landscapes. We then have a before photograph, a landscape design photograph and then after installation the finished landscape photograph that we give to the customer.
