Samsung 50" UHD 4K Smart LED HDTV (UN50HU6950)

  Great TV @ A Great Price! THANKS BUYDIG.COM! By Paladin on September 27, 2015 Review submitted for Samsung 50" UHD 4K Smart LED HDTV (UN50HU6950) (SAMUN50HU6950) Pros: Picture & sound quality are first class. Very easy to set up & fine tune. High quality construction - Very sleek, slim & lightweight. Enough inputs to satisfy anyone. 4K is the way to go (for now) - Amazing picture quality! In a side by side comparison with a Sony KDL55W950B - This 4K TV blew the Sony picture out the door! I also did not like the Sony Stand (legs) as they are set very wide apart. So I decided to go for the picture quality over size for about the same $. Cons: The remote is very cool - but sometimes does not always point to the features on the screen. Maybe it will take a little getting used to, but I read about this in other reviews during my research before deciding on this 4K TV. Would not work with my older Sony receiver for home theater use, but for $400 I can get a 4K receiver here when I upgrade my family room. Other Comments: I ordered this TV here from BUYDIG.COM online as a open box closeout on a Thur. night & paid an extra $28 for 1 day shipping. This 4K TV is a replacement for the 11 year old Samsung DLP in our master bedroom. The TV was shipped Fri. & arrived on Sat. afternoon. To my surprise the TV was actually brand spanking new - Only the tape on the original factory Samsung box was opened & all the contents were brand new & sealed. All the original tape was surrounding the TV - The remote, cables, screws, batteries, stand, manuals etc. were never opened. I took me (alone) less than a hour to unbox, set up, fine tune & truly enjoy college football all day & night. Even with the extra cost for 1 day shipping - I saved over $150 against the best price I could find on the same model TV set delivered & had no problem with registration with Samsung. THANKS BUYDIG.COM! This is my 4th Samsung TV purchase & every one of their products has served me well for many years. Verified Purchase Review submitted for Samsung 50" UHD 4K Smart LED HDTV (UN50HU6950) (SAMUN50HU6950) Pros: The home we moved into had a very large lounge and our 32" TV looked like a postage stamp So; a new 4k TV was the answer. Went to local stores, plenty of variety but we decided on the 'Samsung' The problem was the price...$1,500.00 plus tax! So I went to one of my favorite online stores Amazon. Better price but still too expensive. Looked at different stores online, this store was a 'Google trusted store' Fantastic! They had PayPal with six months interest free ( always welcome after the cost of moving house) Free delivery $999.00 Cons: The only downside was initially my fault. I forgot to update my e-mail address so the order confirmation went who knows where! I rang the store, updated the e-mail address...nothing! I rang back a couple of days later and the person I talked with told me my last conversation was not saved. This young lady gave me all the relevant information including the delivery date. The TV arrived as promised and we love it! Too new to give any negative comments at this time. I did get myself into a pickle, rang Samsung and they sorted out the problem in a couple of minutes. Nothing wrong with picture quality; truly outstanding. Cons: Froze once with the Netflix app. No big deal. Other Comments: Greatly pleased with this tv.
