Gave away (to my son) my 52" Sharp Aquos. Big difference from my Samsung UN46B6000 and UN32D6000,the UN60D8000 blows them all away. The picture is incredible, the thin bezel looks awesome. The Sanus LL11B - Super Slim Low Profile Flat Wall Mount for 37"- 65" TVs (.55" from wall)is the only wall mount to buy. I have 4 Samsungs on Sanus mounts (LL11B and ML11B for 32" TV's). The thin wall mount and the thin UN60D8000 just looks elegant! Your wife may think a 60" TV will be gaudy, awful or too much, BUT if you hang this 60" TV with a thin mount and run all wires in the wall (a pain but important to the look)it turns in to a piece of art. Really! your wife will be a convert and love it! BuyDig.com always has the best prices on the web. I have bought 5 LED LCD TV from BuyDig.com, my friends have bought 3. One of the 3D glasses was cracked, one 2 minute phone call and they sent a replacement.
