Pros: Bought this Blu Ray player with internet applications (Amazon, Netflix, Pandora and others) with dvd/blu ray disk player. Sounds good, yes? Read the rest.
Cons: The product manual is sketchy, set up not easy. No way to make the remote turn on our TV, as it is not a universal remote. Thus, one more remote in the collection. The internet applications have been working fine for us. However, occasionally we want to play a dvd in the player. We had this less than 7 months and have used DVD/Blu Ray disk player a few times only. It stopped working in the middle of a movie last night. At about 8 pm local time, after troubleshooting from the online "full" operating instructions pamphlet, without resolution of the problem, I called Sony customer service line. I got a message that they are closed, but no message of their open hours. The online support gave me nothing new. Clicking on some of their links on the Sony website, gave me ads for applications, but no support info, The phone message says they do on line live chats, but now, I find no link to initiate a chat with product service. I reached a person, explained the problem and what I did to troubleshoot. He took my contact info and says the "product specialist" dept has to call me back, "within 24-48 hours." REALLY???!!!!! He said he could not give me a RMA# to send it to Sony for repair or replacement, as only the product specialist can do that.
Other Comments: This may be the last Sony product we buy. Simple things like giving phone support office hours on the message and a working link to the live chat feature on the website would make a HUGE difference in my view of Sony customer service. Getting a call back time window of 4 hours would be inconvenient but FAR BETTER than 24-48 hours. I have no complaint with BuyDig. This is all about SONY poor customer service and unhelpful website for support.

Pros: The quality of the picture and sound are fantastic It does have wireless capability. Price was pretty good for the features.
Cons: Seems a bit slow in terms of loading a disk, navigating the menu, etc. I think my DVD player might be as fast, if not faster.
Other Comments: I don't know if I can recommend the Blu-Ray player... I don't have another model/brand to compare it to... It seems good but not great.
