Review submitted for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX7 10.2 MP Digital Camera w/ 3.5" Touch LCD (Blue) (SNDSCTX7L)
Pros:
Cons:
Other Comments: Mainly use the camera for basic photo taking. I have had issues with past cameras not doing well in low light. I bought this camera because the reviews from other web sources claimed it to be the best low light camera that isn't a DLSR. I would concur.

5 out of 5 stars   VERY HAPPY WITH PURCHASE!

Review submitted for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX7 10.2 MP Digital Camera w/ 3.5" Touch LCD (Blue) (SNDSCTX7L)
Pros: Items exactly as ordered, Perfect experience
Cons:
Other Comments: Being an Architectural Designer it's really important for me to be able to quickly take thousands of high-quality photos of my projects as they are being constructed. I've only had this camera a couple of weeks, but so-far am VERY impressed with the quality and detail of each photo (especially for the low price of this camera). I mainly purchased this camera for the Panorama feature so that I could take wide shots of exteriors of homes as well as interiors so that you get the 'feel' of the structure and it's objects. Also, I needed a really good 'macro' feature to capture close-up details such as wall tile patterns, (or flowers when not working!) My initial results are AMAZING on both the Panorama as well as the Macro & enhanced Macro. Attached is the VERY FIRST PHOTO (outside my front door) that I took with this camera without even having read the manual, and you can see that even at factory settings it turned out wonderful! I have yet to check all the features such as the low-light, so will update my report after I really learn the camera, however I did read a LOT of reviews from different sites on this camera, so not worried about low-light conditions as with my old Sony Cybershot W90 (which was also a great camera but low-light photos were terrible). All the research I read said that low-light photos with this model are amazingly improved, so very excited to try this out. Will update on my findings. I did notice that because of the location of the lens that you REALLY have to be careful to keep your left hand out of the way of the lens, but with some quick practice will get used to thinking of that, then should be a natural practice after a couple of weeks. I highly recommend ALWAYS using the attached camera rope, as the camera can be dropped very easily. Just two things that I'm sure I can adapt to very easily, so don't let that scare you from buying this, just keep my recommendation in mind and you won't go wrong. Because of the camera design, I recommend a zippered padded case that keeps the dust out of the camera. I got a great tiny but well-built case at Wxxx by Samsonite for about 15 dollars that works perfectly. Zippers completely shut, and has a pocket for an extra battery & film. I'm sure there are other good ones, just make sure you get one, and one that is not flimsy. Bottom line, my first use was VERY successful and I was confident enough to already put away my old camera in the 'dead' bin where most items are never used again, ha. I also purchased an 8gb Sony Memory-Stick PRO duo Mark 2 for extra memory. Most people rush and start taking photos, but please remember to 'Format' your memory card for your new camera before you start using your new memory. It's in the manual how to do it, very easy. Oh, and if you already have a memory stick, Format that one too for your new camera so they are in 'synch'. I also purchased the yellow/black 'Gorilla' tripod, LOVE IT! It wrapped around a railing outside and I took a photo of a vine with the camera at the exact angle I wanted, something you can't do with other tri-pods! VERY HAPPY with all three purchases!
