5 out of 5 stars   UPDATE on Too Good of a Deal to Pass Up
By Rocket Scientist on September 27, 2014
Review submitted for Toshiba CAMILEO B10 Digital Full HD 1080P Camcorder (TBPA3961U1CAM)
Pros: Everything I said in my prior review
Cons: Everything I said in my prior review
Other Comments: Consider this little HD VideoCam for doing things you would NEVER consider doing with your big, bulky, expensive VideoCam (e.g. my Sony). Don't zoom in using this unit. Rather, use your computer's video processing software (I use Pinnacle Studio) to capture the exact moment you want ... and then crop it down on your computer. The attached pic was taken by this little Toshiba unit. I obtained special permission from the owner of the shooting range to mount it on the target. I was shooting a Springfield XD Subcompact 9MM. I wanted to capture the gun flash. But note that I also captured the bullet leaving the gun! Incredible. I think I just might buy another one of these Toshiba videocams. I'm a good shot but next time I might miss ... missing the bulls-eye and hitting the videocamera!

4 out of 5 stars   Camileo B10 Camcorder

Review submitted for Toshiba CAMILEO B10 Digital Full HD 1080P Camcorder (TBPA3961U1CAM)
Pros: Good price, and seems to work well. Also, I like being able to carry it around in my pocket. I haven't done much with it, though, so that's about all I can say at this time.

4 out of 5 stars   Too good a deal to pass up

Review submitted for Toshiba CAMILEO B10 Digital Full HD 1080P Camcorder (TBPA3961U1CAM)
Pros: Price, Video/Pictures are viewable on the unit (unlike a GoPro where you just kind of have to guess at what you just shot), Clean Design, Built-In Image Stabilization, Easy to Understand On-Screen Menu, HD Resolution Video, a SMALL unit, and did I mention the blow-out PRICE? It's so cheap it's nearly a throw away if you end up not liking it.
Cons: It is a Basic Video/Picture unit. But At $49 I didn't expect it to rival my HD Sony VideoCam! For instance, while you can zoom ... it does it "digitally" ... meaning that the camera zooms in on the pixels, making the image pixalated (grainy). But I plan on using my PC's Video processing software to lessen this problem. Shoot the image at full width and you will be pleased.
Other Comments: I plan on using this unit where I would never consider using my super nice Sony HD VideoCam (also bought from BUYDIG, fyi). Specifically I am going to start it taking video and hang it from a target when I go to my Gun Range. Then I'll process the video to achieve split second shots of the gun flash. I've done it with my Sony HD VideoCam but ONLY from behind me. This little Toshiba unit is so light and high in resolution that I hope to get my picture from IN FRONT of the gun. I'm an excellent shot but I would never ever dream of doing this with my Sony. You might also think about attaching it to your drone or taking it with you while you Zip Line. The worst thing that could happen is you destroy a $49 unit vs a $1500 one. Go for it. While the picture I am attaching was NOT taken with this Toshiba, it may stimulate your imagination on how you could use this little Toshibab. It's a gun shot image just so you can see the effect I hope to achieve with the Toshiba from IN FRONT of the gun!
