Verified Purchase Review submitted for Toshiba Mini 3D Sound Bar with Subwoofer (PA5075U-1SPA) (TBPA5075U1SPA) Pros: Easy to set up and use, Compact Cons: Weak Bass And Midrange, Thin Tinny Sound Other Comments: I purchased the Toshiba Mini soundbar with hopes of improving the sound from my TV, until I can complete a planned surround system install in the future. I found the Mini to be only marginally better than the internal speakers on my Samsung Plasma. It did not provide the kind of improvement I had hoped for. I purchased the Mini without auditioning based on positive reviews. I'm not sure what others were listening to, I found it to be unimpressive. It sounds tinny with weak bass and very thin midrange, much like a cheap "boom-box." The 3D feature does widen the soundstage, but at a cost. Dialogue, which should remain centered on the screen, is also diffused around the room. Although it might be suitable for someone needing something very compact to replace really poor TV speakers, don't expect a dramatic improvement. It will turn itself off after a few minutes if you pause a movie, but when you resume it doesn't detect the audio and turn itself back on. That gets pretty annoying if you pause a lot.
