Other Comments: The Portege is the lightest and fastest PC I have owned. It is almost instantaneous on startup and connection. With 6 GB of memory, it's more than enough to do the tasks I do everyday. I'm loading Eclipse next, and my guess is that it will do fine. It's also a great machine for watching movies on a plane. Everyone I work with now wants one! The only mechanical change Toshiba should consider is the Ethernet connector has a sharp corner. I'm guessing this was a tradeoff in squeezing the connector in and maintaining the thinness of the machine. If you are looking for a fast light powerful Windows machine, this is it! If you need integrated VGA for connecting to your projectors at work, I highly recommend that you consider this PC.
The headline from BuyDig says this laptop has an i3 processor. It's actually an i5 quad core.
