Clear, accurate shots. I use it mostly for tight headshots in a non-studio environment so I can be farther away and get unposed shots. It is heavy and almost requires a monopod in non-flash environments to avoid shake. That is fine though as one would expect that in lens of this size. I was very pleased with all of the results. The auto focus is a little noisier than the Canon line, but not so much that it bothers me. If you don't have a monopod, I strongly suggest that you invest in one, as it is heavy. I did carry this lens attached to my XTi, around the San Diego Zoo 2weeks ago. But, I survived.
