Other Comments: Bought this lens to use with a new Nikon D3100. It was not clear from the product description that the lens does not have an internal autofocus motor and therefore will not autofocus with newer Nikon Cameras. Product description states compatible with Nikon D series cameras. I now know this meant D40 etc. that have autofocus motors in the camera to drive the lens. Open box so no returns.
Otherwise, the lens is good quality and takes good pictures. I am a long time photographer so I haven't forgotten how to manually focus. Macro distance is a little long but works well. Overall a good value for the money. Would have given it 4 stars except for the autofocus issue.
