Review submitted for Vivitar VIV-TV-1836 18-36X50 Terrain Spotting Scope (VIVTV1836)
Pros: Waterproof, Compact, Lightweight
Cons: Unstable, Difficult To Focus
Other Comments: I am using this scope as a spotting scope at the ranges for scope sight ins and zeroing. It works ok for that purpose with the supplied tri pod but to get the most stable support, you have to invest in a better set of tripod. With better legs the focusing is much easier. For a 100 yards range the target just stands out nicely and clear.

1 out of 5 stars   Cheap, broken scope [...]

Review submitted for Vivitar VIV-TV-1836 18-36X50 Terrain Spotting Scope (VIVTV1836)
Pros:
Cons: Cheap
Other Comments: What happened to Vivitar? I bought their quality camera lenses years ago so I was amazed in this low price. You get what you pay for. The optics are bad, similar to looking through a kaleidoscope. Many parts are cheap plastic. The scope is a fine toy.

Review submitted for Vivitar VIV-TV-1836 18-36X50 Terrain Spotting Scope (VIVTV1836)
Pros: cheap
Cons: Cheap
Other Comments: I purchased this because of the brand name. Vivitar has certainly gone downhill since I bought their camera lenses years ago. This is a plastic toy, not much more.
