Pros: So far the WD My Book is great. I backed up the utilities included on the drive and used the Mac software to reformat the drive for my Mac. No problems so far.

Pros: It is made by a RELIABLE manufacturer. (Per the on-line reports, it appears to be the best bang-for-the-buck, as it is very close to the leader in reliability, Toshiba.)
Cons: None noted, so far.
Other Comments: This unit serves as my 24/7 backup for all of my Mac computers. I use CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner) to back up all computers via Ethernet or Wifi.
