This 52" Widescreen model is built on JVC's 3-Chip DILA Technology, a revolutionary Micro-display technology that will give you the most incredible picture imaginable. Packed with supporting features like 4-Point Color Management, Dynamic Gamma Correction Circuitry, an HDMI/HDCP Digital Input, 2 HD Component Inputs and JVC's D.I.S.T 720p (Digital Image Scaling Technology), JVC delivers the most technologically advanced and superior Micro-display televisions available today.
LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) has been one of the most eagerly-awaited big-screen TV display technologies. And one of the highest-performing LCoS designs is JVC's D-ILA (Direct-drive Image Light Amplifier). JVC has had more experience and success developing this advanced microdisplay design than anyone else.
The elegant 52" HD-52Z575 uses 1280 x 720-pixel D-ILA devices in a three-chip design. Unlike with conventional LCDs, light is reflected off, rather than passed through, the liquid crystal panels, which really improves contrast ratio and black level performance. And unlike DLP-based big-screens, the HD-52Z575 uses three image chips ? one each for red, green, and blue. The result is incredibly pure, natural-looking color.
3-Chip DILA System
JVC's 3-Chip DILA System delivers a picture so vivid and crystal clear with a pixel structure so compact it is able to create an image free of the Rainbow Effect and Screen Door Effect associated with other Micro-display technologies.
Digital Image Scaling Technology (D.I.S.T.)
Every HDTV has the capacity to reproduce high quality images from HD sources, but when it comes to other sources, like DVDs (480i) or NTSC TV signals, they are almost over qualified. JVC?s 4th generation D.I.S.T. is an exclusive digital algorithm that seamlessly up-scales any video source to display at 720p so the final image is seen at the highest possible resolution.
Exclusive 4 Point Color Management
Every HD-ILA incorporates a 4 Point Color Management System which compensates for the limited color standards set by CRT TVs. It does this by sampling the four colors - Green, Yellow, Red and Blue - and automatically adjusting the colors within each range so that they are reproduced with their original purity.
75 MHz Digital Super Detail
Our Digital Super Detail (DSD) Circuitry is state of the art edge correction that together with Natural Progressive Circuitry works to reproduce completely focused pictures under both still to highly active images. DSD providing this higher degree of focus ensures that every image then is viewed at the highest possible resolution.
Dynamic Gamma Control Circuitry
Typical Gamma Control analyzes dark to light image data to balance contrast and avoid dark to muddy areas. JVC's Dynamic Gamma Control takes this process a step further by detecting and focusing specifically on areas with high concentrations of dark image data. This pin-point sampling helps both avoid muddy areas and recreate images rich in detail.
