- PYRO is a 100% digital interface card that links via a provided DV editing cable to a Digital camcorder. Digital signals are sent up and down the cable between PYRO card and the digital camcorder. You can record the video on your computer hard drive in real time while previewing it on your PC screen. 1394/FireWire technology even lets you control the camcorder via the computer software so you can play, fast forward, rewind, pause and record all with VCR type controls. Once you are finished editing your masterpiece you can save your video into numerous digital video formats or transmit back to your video camcorder. The result is 100% digital, 1st generation loss-less video
Exceptional Video Quality- In the past, to get video into a PC you had to compress and digitize the video with a video capture card. PYRO doesn?t need to digitize the video the digital camcorder does that. Digital Video camcorders record the video information in a digital format onto mini DV tape or in the case of Sony Digital 8 camcorders on Hi-8 tape. The only video compression that occurs is within the digital camcorder itself during the digitizing process. The result is stunning broadcast quality video at over 500 lines of resolution.
