The BDP-CX960 features the unique ability to download and organize movie and music metadata from your existing internet broadband service. When you put a movie into the MegaChanger, it will automatically query the Gracenote service over the internet and download the corresponding jacket art, title, director, cast and genre. Once the metadata is loaded, users can quickly browse, search, and sort their disc libraries using the Xross Media Bar user interface, making it fast and easy to find a specific movie.
In addition, the BDP-CX960 includes all the capabilities of a fully-featured Blu-ray Disc player, such as Full HD 1080p video output, HD audio support, BD-Live access (which requires external memory and is sold separately), and the ability to upscale DVDs to near-HD resolution through an HDMI connection.
