The Sony UWP-X2 is a UHF wireless Handheld microphone system consisting of a handheld transmitter with uni-directional microphone head and tuner-module receiver for the Sony MB-806A tuner base, SRP-X700P or SRP-X351P mixer/amplifiers. The system operates via UHF channels and features 188 user selectable frequencies, providing plenty of options when interference is present.
The Sony tuner-module receiver interfaces with the MB-806A base unit or SRP-X700P and SRP-X351P mixer-amplifiers. Up to six tuner-modules can be used simultaneously with the MB-806A, up to 2 modules in either mixer. A comprehensive LCD screen display channel and frequency information, plus audio output status and RF input level. RF squelch control virtually eliminates ambient noise and unwanted signals from other wireless microphone systems.
The handheld transmitter features selectable RF-output level. Users are able to choose from 5mW output, which is suitable for simultaneous multi-channel operation or 30mW output for long distance transmission. The transmitter is capable of operating up to 6 hours on two-AA size alkaline batteries. A comprehensive LCD display provides channel, frequency, battery life, and RF information while the cardioid head effectively minimizes noise at the off axis sections of the microphone.
