About Me Semi-pro Photographer
Comments about Fujifilm FinePix S4000 14 MP 3" LCD Digital Camera w/ Fujinon 30x Super Wide Angle Zoom:
This review is from a person who knows FUJI, all i can say is save yourself the agravation of buying any FUJI cameras! They end up failing for no reason, BAD CMOS chips, broken knobs made of cheap plastic. I have owned three FUJI cameras and they all have failed, by NIkon if you want a real camera. S20-pro we bought two, they failed for no reason bad cmos chips, FUJI would not fix! S-9000 bronken knob on the top. Never abused any of these cameras but they all failed because of quality! The S20-pros took awesome pictures but lasted about 9 months, the S-9000 lasted about 1 year just outside the warrenty. I threw away the S20-pros, think what i felt when i did that knowing it was not my fault. Don't buy Fuji! You will be sorry in the end! Yes FUji I am still out here!!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Photo Enthusiast
I was so excited about getting this camera. Loved all the features on it and even read all the good reviews. Oh Boy, not good. I hated this camera. It uses double A batteries. I went thru batteries in 2 days. I use my camera alot so this was already going to be costly. The pictures were terrible in quality. Alot of blurry pics, wouldnt take a good pic at all at dusk. Everytime I went to pull the memory card out to put pics on my computer, I had to fight with the batteries wanting to fall out. The cover was tricky to close and open. For a lower priced camera with alot of good features..this was too much time, money and work to use it. I returned the camera. Looking at a different brand now with a lithium battery to recharge.

About Me Casual Photographer
I use this product to take photos for property valuation. It meet my requirements for ease of use, light weight, especially the sticking feature that sticks together 3 photos to cover the entire living rooms.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Don't judge a book by its price!

This camera can be used as the most simple point and shoot to the more complexed pro-photographer. The colors and images are so sharp and the additional features on this camera are remarkable. I've yet to use all the features but look forward to learning them all.The price of this camera can be deceiving. The price is on the low scale but the camera is on an upper scale.

This is my second Fujifilm camera. I really like the entire package. The zoom is outstanding, is easy to use, does not use a specialized battery, light weight, very affordable, and takes really great photos and Hi-Def video in all conditions. I have added an inexpensive and readily available lens hood which not only protects the lens in all zoom positions but it also enables me to add specialized filters like UV and 6 point star lenses producing professional results.
Fuji S4000 camera great features & value

The 30X optical zoom works out great with wildlife photography. The 6-picture feature works well in capturing photos of whales jumping in the ocean.
I was so pleased with this camera I not recommended it, I bought another one for a friend. One thing I especially like is the fact that you can carry extra AA batteries so you never have to worry about charging a battery, and AA batteries are easily available in foreign countries I've visited.Another feature important to me was the fact that you had a large clear LCD, but also an eye view which is especially helpful when taking pictures in very bright sun light outdoors. It would have been nice if the camera came with some type of storage so you could take pictures when you received it ----- they include the batteries, but no storage. It wasn't a problem for me since I already had a camera, but if you didn't it might be ------BUT, that certainly doesn't take away from the camera. As a little extra, I found this camera at two other sites on the internet, and even with higher shipping costs, I saved about $30 on each camera.

the check boxes said it all, the flash is poor but the rest of the camera works well.

GOOD FOR NEW USER
Nice Quality at a Reasonable Price
from New Hampshire
Great for beginners using Auto settings, but still lots of options for advanced users with manual options available.Excellent picture quality even in highest zoom settings, incredible clarity and blur-free.Get the optional HDMI cable to connect to your HD TV. Images are awesome in HD.What I didn't like is that I cannot force the flash except in some manual modes. Previous Finepix Model S700 allowed forced flash in both auto and manual setting.
