The Brazil French Press coffee maker, designed in the early 80's, was our first coffee maker and quickly became a symbol of what Bodum stands for. Attractive and functional design at an affordable price! The Brazil has a heat resistant, borosilicate glass beaker (the standard for all Bodum French press plungers) and a polypropylene handle and base, which make the Brazil easy to use and easy to clean. The domed lid is made of a smooth polypropylene and has the special Bodum safety and aroma seal to keep your coffee warm for a longer time. Brewing coffee in the Brazil is one of life's great pleasures. Dishwasher Safe.

My first french press and I'm very happy
By A Kat Herder
from Troy, MI
I am very pleased with my first foray into the world of french press brewing. It couldn't be any easier. Grind up some coffee beans, microwave some water, mix the two and throw them in the pitcher. The filter gets everything out (unless you ground the coffee to sand, then some sludge/sediment can slip through). It works exactly like I hoped it would.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

expected better results
from Pocono Lake PA
You must use coarse ground coffee even so,there is too much sediment. After 5 minuets brewing the coffee is weaker than using the same amount ground fine with a paper filter coffee maker. Hard to clean if you don't want to throw the grounds into your septic system.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
