Individually Tested to Verify Performance
With strict uniformity parameters set by the G7 certification, the PG monitor delivers a Delta-E value lower than two, covering 100% CMYK and 99% Adobe RGB color spaces. Each BenQ PG series display is subjected to a verification process on-site upon production in order to test the performance of the monitor in terms of Brightness uniformity, Delta-E and Gamma curve. These results are validated against BenQ and industry color standards?the results of the test are noted on a calibration report, included with each individual PG series monitor

The strict standards of G7 require consistent uniformity in multiple colors, not just white. This enables the monitor to be able to display RAW files and other native material accurately before the retouching process, significantly reducing the need for multiple proofs. In addition, the monitor has multiple preset color modes to handle specific lighting conditions such as D50, D65, Adobe RGB, sRGB, and many others to ensure that your proofing environment will match your printing environment perfectly.
Detachable Shade Hood with Ergonomic Pivoting Stand
Ambient lighting and glare can often obstruct the user's perception of color reproduction. With this in mind, the PG series includes a detachable shading hood made specifically for glare reduction and use in areas where controlling ambient light is not feasible. The PG series is also supported by a uniquely designed stand, featuring sleek looks, blue detailing and a wide range of adjustability. The stand itself can be maneuvered to Tilt, Pivot or Swivel in order to suit any ergonomic desktop configuration, regardless of the desk arrangement or the user's height. The monitor can also rotate between landscape or portrait views to enable you to see the same orientation the image will be when printed.
Expand the Spectrum on a 10-Bit IPS Panel and 14 bit 3D LUT
The PG monitor features a 10-bit IPS panel that uses a 14-bit 3D Look Up Table (LUT) to guarantee silky smooth color gradation on any image. The 10-bit panel can create more than one billion colors--64 times the amount of color available on an 8-bit panel, and with 14-bit processing capability, generates crisper definition and improved gray-level distinction. The 14-bit 3D Look Up Table (LUT), monitors improves RGB color blending accuracy, resulting in impeccable color and gray tone reproduction. Rated to 350 cd/m2 brightness, the monitor?s Brightness Uniformity Function enables PG series monitors to certify a consistent image across the entire display.
X-rite Software for Perfect Color Calibration on Multiple Computers
PG series includes Palette Master Software, co-developed with X-rite, which enables the monitor to be calibrated to G7, FOGRA and UGRA printing standards. Once calibrated utilizing the X-rite calibration device (i1 pro, i1 pro 2 or i1 Display Pro) any computer using the monitor will display perfect color- making it ideal for areas such as a color lab, classroom, or other situations where multiple users may connect to the display. The software features intuitive UI design and range of adjustment parameters make calibrating suitable color profiles quick and easy. The software supports Windows (WinXP SP3 32-bit and above) as well as Mac OS X (10.6.8 - 10.8).
Fine-Tuned Presets
Factory calibrated preset viewing modes ensure users have a suitable variety of viewing conditions upon first using the monitor. The PG series offers Standard, Adobe RGB, sRGB, illumine. A, D50 and D65 for standard graphical work. For more involved work, the Calibration Mode enables users to save calibration settings and switch between different sets of calibration settings. Additionally the heavily customizable Custom Mode can be used for delicate color tuning.
Full Range of Connectivity
A variety of inputs provides users with flexibility in connecting various input devices. PC users can connect the PG series monitor to a PC via DVI-D, HDMI or DisplayPort while MAC users can connect via the Mini DisplayPort input. A USB 3.0 port and card reader is also available for rapid file transfers and storage solutions.
