The New D5200
Nikon is pleased to introduce the D5200 - a 24.1MP DX-format HD-SLR camera designed to draw exciting new
perspectives out of everyone who shoots it. In addition, Nikon is also pleased to announce the WR-T10 and WR-R10 wireless remote controllers.

Optimized for creativity, streamlined for flexibility
The D5200's 3.0-inch super sharp Vari-angle LCD screen will provide unique perspectives for anyone shooting stills
and recording Full HD video. With its newly developed 24.1 - megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 3 image processing, your customers will also capture images with superior image quality filled with incredible detail, dynamic range and color

High-quality Full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities
The D5200's D-Movie mode now features Full HD 1080p 60i for visibly smoother action sequences and a built-in
stereo microphone - both firsts for Nikon HD-SLRs. With Nikon's responsive Full-time-servo AF (AF-F) and subject-tracking AF working together to keep moving subjects sharp and in focus, the D5200 makes it easy to take video recording to the next level.

Wi-Fi Connectivity
Send GREAT images to your Smartphone or Tablet
As with the D3200 and D600, just add the optional WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter and easily transfer images to a
smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi, enabling the user to share their favorite images with friends and family. Your customers can even use their smart device as an external "live view" monitor to compose and fire the shutter-perfect for getting into photos at family gatherings or parties.

Designed to draw exciting new perspectives out of everyone who shoots it
Whether they are family memory keepers or looking to upgrade from compact digital cameras and older D-SLRs, your
customers will be ready to transform their imagination into inspired images. This is your opportunity to capitalize on continued demand for Nikon HD-SLR's to bring both new and loyal customers to your doors.

Features:
Ultra-fast, accurate shooting
No matter where your subject is within the frame, the D5200's 39-point wide-area autofocus system keeps it in focus
so you can fire up to 5 fps. 3D Subject Tracking, powered by a 2016-pixel RGB sensor, locks onto your subject and tracks it with exceptional accuracy. Improvements to the D5200's optical viewfinder make it easier to identify and capture fast-moving subjects, even when panning the camera.

Included 18-55mm NIKKOR lens
When asked why they choose Nikon gear, pros and serious shooters consistently mention NIKKOR lenses among their reasons. The D5200 comes equipped with the AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens-an excellent lightweight, multipurpose lens for nearly all shooting situations and an ideal match for the camera's DX-format sensor.

Simple, intuitive operation
You'll be at home on the D5200 in no time. Using visual representations of each setting to show you exactly what's
changing with each adjustment, a redesigned display groups your most frequently adjusted camera settings for faster
access and adjustment.

A hobby that grows with you

can grow with you.

5 out of 5 stars   A great camera
By Wendell (Orlando, FL) June 14, 2015
Review submitted for Nikon D5200 24.1 MP DSLR Camera with 18-55mm VR Lens (NKD5200KT1855K)

Pros: Excellent photo quality and ease of use. Camera is also light weight. Great battery life.
Cons: None yet. Maybe it has too many options to fully master but I don't fault the camera for that.
Other Comments: This model has been discontinued so it's available at an excellent price. If you can still find one, it's likely to be a great value.

Pros: Extremely pleased with the camera. All the extras that Beach Camera included are amazing. For the price of the body and one lens at other retailers, we got everything we wanted (save a lens cover with a leash) and then some.
Cons: Had to pick up a lens cover with a leash, Nikon doesn't include one with either lens.

4 out of 5 stars   On the fence about a refurbished camera..
By Mike Dee (Pacific Northwest) September 02, 2014
Review submitted for Nikon D5200 24.1MP DSLR Camera with 18-55mm VR Lens Kit - Factory Refurbished (NKD52001855KRFB)
Verified Reviewer
Pros: -Cost -Flip out screen -ISO range
Cons: -small signs of previous use -both camera and lens were refurbished items
Other Comments: Overall this is pretty much as I expected a refurb camera to be. When I received it, there were small indicators of wear (smears on the screen, etc.) but otherwise the camera was largely looking like-new. Function has been flawless the during the 3 weeks I have owned and used it, and shots are looking sharp and correctly exposed. Short videos have worked as expected as well. The price point fit my budget as I have owned cameras on this level in the past, and was just looking for something to use casually and not mind it getting a bit banged up out in the field.
I recommend this product Yes, I recommend this product

Pros: This is my third Nikon (previously purchased the D90 & D3200) and very impressed with the Nikon D5200. The features are easy to handle with beautiful results.... It's also light weight & coming with it's own camera bag was an absolute plus....
Cons: So far; none....
Other Comments: I would've preferred the camera coming with an 18-105mm len instead of the 18-55mm....

4 out of 5 stars   Amazing Technology
By Spucat (L.I, NY) May 01, 2014
Review submitted for Nikon D5200 DX-Format Red 32 GB SLR Camera with 18-55mm and 55-300mm VR Lens Bundle (E6NKD5200KT1855R)
Verified Reviewer
Pros: I've been around cameras for years, so I have some experience. This camera is absolutely amazing!! Ideal for the novice and the expert. Whether you take "point and shoot" or fully manual shoots, picture quality will jump out at you. Camera size and button placement were well thought out. As far as the rest of the package, I especially like the 300mm lens and the performance of the 32 GB memory card. The bag is O.K, but a little flimsy. The only issue I have is with the tripod and the cost of a second Nikon proprietary battery.
Cons: Plastic tripod is to flimsy and to small to be of any use. Buy something more substantial. Cost of EN-EL14A Nikon battery is obscene.
Other Comments: Beach Camera is excellent. Super fast shipping, no sales tax in NY. Package price was the best I could find anywhere.

Cons: Menus Are A Little Hard T
Other Comments: This is a great camera with tons of features that many more expensive cameras don't have. Beginners can use it in auto mode and the advanced settings will allow you to,grow as a photographer. The only negative is that the menus are a little cumbersome to use. After making many of the options you have to acknowledge that the you want the changes. I think this is an unnecessary step. Also the screen lends itself perfectly for touch technology but it doesnt use it.

Pros: Prg Mode Great, Takes fantastic pictures, properly priced, Sequence Stills
Cons: Lots of features
Other Comments: Bought so I could take photos of miniature horses. Use 80-300 lense, distance photos still produce high quality pictures even in programmed mode. I took 3 sequential photos of 2 horses and dog, and posted it (photo below--NO Photoshop, not even cropped)...detail showed the whiskers on the horses, and high detail inspite of the close up was 80 feet away. Love this camera.

Other Comments: Bought the Nikon D5200 in red. I've had it for about 2 weeks now, and I've yet to find a single thing that I don't like about it. The speed is sick. The images are crisp. Simply love it. Traditionalists will love the black version, but people that like a little something different will love the red even more. Super deal via Buydig.com as well. I will definitely be buying something from here again!

5 out of 5 stars   Great 1st camera that you can grow into

Review submitted for Nikon D5200 DX-Format Black Digital 16 GB SLR Camera and 18-55mm VR Lens Bundle (E1NKD5200KT1855K)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: really crisp, Easy to use, LANDSCAPES, Sunsets, Pets, Sunrises, Versatile, scenery
Cons: none
Other Comments: I used this camera to get into photography after playing around with a really old camera for a few years. I wanted to take the leap into buying a camera that would be enough to grow into and not grow out of. This camera has features that I'm still mastering and learning to use yet it also has features that I have perfected. It is the perfect camera for someone that wants to get into photography, but is not yet ready for some of the further advanced lenses out there. What's great about it is that you can take it everywhere. It's a little smaller than some other DSLRs. Some things that aren't so great are that the Nikon lenses are a bit expensive, I'm looking into buying a wide angle lens for my landscape photography, and they come a hefty price, but I think that the Nikon brand surpasses Cannon or Sony brand cameras.

4 out of 5 stars   Little Dogs stay on the front porch
By Meltdown Ambulance LyCoNiTro (Red Deer AB.) March 10, 2013
Review submitted for Nikon D5200 Red 32 GB SLR Camera with 18-55mm & 55-300mm VR Lens and Filters Bundle (E22NKD5200KT1855R)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Picture detail, Dual Lens Kits, Picture Special Effects, Picture Editing, Makes learning fun, Lens Movement Correction, Remote Control Mode, Easy to learn, Picture Very Clear, Movie Making, Self Timer, picture depth, Additional Lens Options, User friendly, Light Weight, Easy Pic Transfer, Picture Fun Effects, Focus Point Tracking, Picture Scene Mode, Monitor Angles, Image Format, Image Size
Cons: Needed A Wrist Strap, Bit Much On Price, Battery Very Short Life, Neck Strap Damaged
Other Comments: Bottom line, I'm not a professional photographer, but I always have the camera everywhere I go and I will shoot anything that moves or still. Land Sea Air, celebrations, parties, traveling, camping, hunting boating, mountains, snow caps, wild life where ever and whatever, just to have a shot or two to keep, even if it was a bad shot. So the difference I see between a really good point and shoot digital and my new Nikon 5200! Immediately the color, depth and true tones are very apparent. Taking a lot of pictures to have a few that you like with a really good slim line DSL is fine, it's the shots you miss because the slim line has its limits and even though it was a $500.00 on sale,,, main line camera, I might as well as used a web cam on some shots, the picture is indeed a huge difference using my New Nikon. So now with this excessive over shooting as in the past to get a good shot and delete the rest was a bit of a pain, now it is a pleasure because with my Nikon 5200, only takes great shots, and I have to really search for the classical shots to keep. Nikon's 5200 looks are not much different than its predecessor units, 3200 and 5100 series. The new extras inside do show the improvement upgrade. The few extras are not a lot to notice, but are there and do have some advantages. Taking in the comparison to other manufactures to be sure Cannon Sony or any other camera could offer a better product is always a quest I enjoy. Who is the top Dog and who stays on the front porch? I was not only comparing the Nikon, Cannon makes a nice comparable unit as well. The real deal maker difference to me is the performance, final picture, guidance thru user friendly menu's, lots of effects, editing, image quality an file types, the different AF-Modes focus selection and could take me as far as I wanted to go with all the features offered by Nikons 5200. I'm not a camera buff guy at all on all the settings. However Nikon has made me aware of some tips an tricks with education that has me really desiring to go for the full camera class so I can enjoy all the features my 5200 offers. I don't have any idea as to the larger cameras by Nikon or the fact that they could give any advantage from this 5200 Model. In the first few shots I thought at first it was me, I needed another opinion. I went too, you know who, the source of knowledge. (lol) My wife, now I will see if there is or if she even noticed. First thing the very first time, as she looked at few shots, her lips replied, wow this is the first time, I have seen in a picture that the walls in our home are the same color in comparison of pictures. So there it is, Nikon has made a difference. I still don't think I will ever go in to a larger camera box due to the weight, I feel this 5200 has the right weight mixed with the right amount of a lot of talent and, with the right lens an filters I know it will do just as good as the big box elites. Sure there seems to be a few stones that need addressing like the Battery it is way too short life, I also noticed the camera after being on for a while gets very hot, if you are using it for editing or whatever, why have all this amazing editing software in the camera if it's going to overheat, then causing issues with the electronics. Heat everybody knows with electronics does not mix and the Solid state electronics loose after a while. The bag supplied with this is not very good idea, this camera should come with a glove type case instead of a bag where it slides and bumps or worse fall out because this bag is so loose. In Transport this bag is not really protecting my investment. My neck strap came damaged on the outside threaded surface at mid neck center area. Over all I have to give this a 4.0 rating. I researched and Bought the Nikon 5200 Camera to replace a Camera, that while driving down the road would not adjust properly or fast enough to take the shot. Last year My wife became very frustrated while on Holidays, Sep/1/thru 15th/2012 she just gave up, this is when I went to work and started my research, this trip was going thru Seattle down the Oregon coast to California on HWY 101, Now I can't wait, going to have to do it all over again this time with A Nikon 5200 an wish I had the monies, then buy a couple additional Lens I have chosen to add to the two that came with My purchase originally. One last Detail. Nikon had not released the 5200 in the US or Canada and I actually was reading the reviews taking notes from the UK and area. I settled for this Camera after the reviews and knew I would have a wait. I'm not sorry at all now that I have bought and used this Camera unit, and as a matter of fact I did have a bit of internal battle concerning the Price an still feel it was a bit much to pay. I could have bought the cannon for about 350.00 less but then I already have tried the Cannon at the store and was not feeling it. I only wished I could afford the three lens that would make all the difference to me. Thanks Nikon for making me a Camera I can use like the pros then gives me all the help I need and still keep both arms and legs in the boat. H2oBloZro Core Meltdown Ambulance LyCoNiTro
