Like No Other - The Extreme Fujinon 30x Long Zoom Lens
Regarded Highly by Professionals

The widely renown Fujinon Lens are used popularly in numerous situations including satellites in outer space, TV/film, security and compact cameras. With the highly adept manufacture of Fujifilm, high precision optic and technology are provided for the best 30x optical zoom.

BSI CMOS 10 Megapixels
Advanced image quality, improved low light sensitivity and faster performance. Introducing new BSI (Back Side Illuminated) CMOS technology: breaking the mould and bringing three new imaging technologies below to the FinePix HS10.

High-speed Continuous Shooting
Shoots the action at 10fps at full resolution. Ultra-burst shooting powered by the fast BSI CMOS sensor reveals images that not even your eyes can capture.

Multi Frame Technology
FinePix Multi Frame Technology combined with the accelerated performance of BSI CMOS lets you use powerful Pro Modes to capture scenes with mood and depth rivaling expensive DSLR cameras.

High Sensitivity and Low Noise
While conventional CMOS front-side elements block light, BSI CMOS turns the sensor upside down to let light directly strike the silicon for higher sensitivity, more uniform response and lower pixel cross talk. For you, that means superior photos in low light with even lower noise.

BSI CMOS Processor
Developed for the extended reach of the world's first 30x optical zoom and the high-speed performance of the BSI CMOS, the integrated processor expands photo expression with innovative Motion Panorama, Multi Motion and Pro Low light mode.
Notes
* Sample photos are simulated images.
* FinePix HS10 / HS11 is the world's smallest among digital camera with 30x optical zoom lens; as of February, 2010, Fujifilm research.

High Speed Shooting Functions
You're never late for the shot with BSI CMOS.

High Speed Continuous Shooting
Capture every detail of the action with the FinePix HS10's continuous 7-frame shooting mode at an amazing 10fps, at the full 10 megapixel resolution.

Best Frame Capture Mode
With this mode, you can half-press the shutter button and the HS10 will start to record photos. Then, when the special moment happens, all you have to do is fully press the shutter button and the camera will capture that shot and the 7 previous shots, ensuring that you will have every moment of the action recorded, and giving you the opportunity to select whichever was the best shot!

Super High Speed Movie
Sometimes things happen too fast for you to see them properly with your own eyes. The FinePix HS10 can freeze the action at up to an amazing 1000fps! So you can see every single minute detail and watch things happening step by step in slow motion.

Creative Photography with Multi Frame Technology
Enlighten your creativity with innovative motion based functions.

Motion Panorama
Simply sweep the camera right or left, up or down and create your own stunning panoramic images. The super-fast BSI CMOS sensor can capture multiple images, and its powerful image processor stitches them together seamlessly to create beautiful panoramic photos - all in camera, no editing required.

Motion Remover
Remove the tourists from your pictures! This useful function captures 5 successive shots, analyzes them and removes moving subjects. The result is an impressive 2 megapixels image that looks like a postcard shot. No more times wasted waiting for people to get out of your way!

Multi Motion Capture
Capture time and motion in a fun and unique way. Simply press the shutter button and the FinePix HS10 captures the action from 5 successive images and combines it into a single 2 megapixels image.

Pro Low-light Mode
Ideal for shooting non-moving subjects in low light, this mode automatically takes a series of four high-sensitivity & low-noise exposures and then combines them into an image with less noise than the single exposures.
* There must be sufficient distance between the subject and the background for this function to work properly.
* Except for subjects where focus bracketing is unable to produce sufficient defocus.

CMOS Shift + Digital Image Stabilization
Prevent capturing blurred photos so often caused by camera shake and subject movement with the HS10's highly effective Image Stabilization technology. By combining CMOS-shift and Digital Image Stabilization, the FinePix HS10 ensures that all your shots are sharp and clear even at the full zoom range.

Tracking Auto Focus
Don't miss a shot again! Half press the shutter to lock-on to your subject. However fast they are moving, tracking Auto Focus will ensure that when you take the photo, your subject comes out in focus, perfect for difficult long zoom shots.
* Subjects other than people can also be automatically tracked.

Zoom Bracketing Mode
A single press of the shutter takes three shots at a differing zoom magnifications. The original image, a 1.4x zoom image and a 2.0x zoom image are all recorded separately.

Operations for Quick Responsive Environment

4 out of 5 stars   Fujifilm Finepix HS10
By Hosedragger226 (Columbus, GA) December 08, 2010
Review submitted for Fujifilm FinePix HS10 10 MP 30x Wide Angle Zoom Digital Camera (FJFPHS10)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Manual Zoom, Good Image Stabilization, Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Nice Body Color
Cons: Manual Zoom for Video, Short Battery Life
Other Comments: I am an avid photographer who always keeps a camera on my person. I purchased this camera because it is a great hybid (half P/S, half DSLR)with a 3" LCD screen and viewfinder. This camera is great for portrait and landscape (has a sweeping panaramic mode) and command/control buttons along the left side of the viewfinder are a great addition. Also can be programmed to individual preferences and those preferences stored. Uses 4AA batteries which is both a pro and a con as AA can be found worldwide and are inexpensive but do not last as long as Li Ion. Manual zoom is great as in DSLR and conserves battery usage, but is rough when using the video zoom. Uses SD/SDHC cards and not the memory stick pro as with the Sony. Lag time is above average and response is good, but during burst mode it does take a moment to d/load images to file. This camera can also shoot in RAW format which is great for image manipulation later in front of your computer with after market software programs. Camera comes with a CD that has user manual, quick reference guide and software to transfer images and to do basic printing. Also has a RAW file format to help the photographer with manipulating images before printing. Best if used in natural light with ISO below 400. If you use this camera, remember, it isn't a full DSLR and you will enjoy the many things the HS10 does well and offers you as a photographer.

4 out of 5 stars   FinePix HS10 is cheaper than a zoom lens
By Bayou Watcher (Breaux Bridge, LA) September 28, 2010

Verified Purchaser
Pros: Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Nice Body Color, Large Clear LCD, Great Zoom
Cons: Viewfinder hard to use
Other Comments: I use the FinePix HS10 only for zoom shots. It's so much cheaper than a zoom lens for my Canon 40D, and it takes a good zoomed picture.

4 out of 5 stars   Sweet - Nice camera at a resonable price
By Foxzee (NJ) September 28, 2010
Review submitted for Fujifilm FinePix HS10 10 MP 30x Wide Angle Zoom Digital Camera (FJFPHS10)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Stabilization, Short Lag Time, Good in Low Light, Small / Compact, Nice Body Color, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Good Image Quality
Cons: Body feels a bit Cheasy
Other Comments: Wanted new camera for travel. Panaorama and people motion removal features a definite plus. Short Lag startup. Manual Zoom lenghtens batteries. Has Stabilization warning icon. Body is plastic not metal -> lighter weight, but a different feel from my prior cameras. Love the Zoom for wide angle, no lens switch. Advice - Have 2-3 sets extra batteries when out for the day on a trip. Two shots from same location.

4 out of 5 stars   Excellent camera for the price
By SRQBob (Sarasota, FL) September 06, 2010
Review submitted for Fujifilm FinePix HS10 10 MP 30x Wide Angle Zoom Digital Camera (FJFPHS10)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Great Zoom, Nice Body Color, Good in Low Light
Cons: Zoom is manual only
Other Comments: The more I use this camera, the more impressed I am. In the default setting, this is an excellent "point and shoot" camera... very forgiving with reasonably fast focus. It recognizes scenes (people, landscapes, etc.) and chooses appropriate settings. I have yet to have a bad picture (excepting where it was my fault) using the default settings. Once I began experimenting with some of the advanced features: multiple images, remove moving foreground images, multiple image blending in low light, macro, extreme macro, etc. I was amazed at the possibilities this camera offers. My only complaint: it is nearly impossible to hold the camera body steady while operating the manual zoom during video recording. The amount of zoom is spectacular (30X), but despite my best efforts there are jerks and shakes when I twist the zoom ring. Other than that... fantastic camera.

4 out of 5 stars   Great camera for the money
By Magnalink (Phoenix, AZ) August 21, 2010
Review submitted for Fujifilm FinePix HS10 10 MP 30x Wide Angle Zoom Digital Camera (FJFPHS10)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Good in Low Light, Nice Body Color, Solid feel
Cons: Jerky zoom
Other Comments: I've had the entire series of S cameras...602, 7000, 9000 and this one give the best images. It has a bit more lag time than the others and action shooting is a bit more cumbersome than the 602. Overall a very good bridge camera.

4 out of 5 stars   Versatile camera, excellent for hikes.
By Anengineerguy (Snohomish, WA) August 19, 2010
Review submitted for Fujifilm FinePix HS10 10 MP 30x Wide Angle Zoom Digital Camera (FJFPHS10)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Great Zoom, Good sizeweight for hike, Easy to update firmware, Good in Low Light
Cons: EVF is very small, End silence to use flash
Other Comments: Complex interactions between ISO and dynamic range choices, and the limits on shutter duration vs ISO. Panorama not so easy to do, Multi Motion Capture and Motion Remover hard to manage and can't use L quality choice. Haven't used the video yet.... but plan to to that. I like the many user choices = flexibility! The zoom range is great. Glad to have RAW feature.

4 out of 5 stars   Very versatile camera
By Buffalo Bob (Buffalo, NY) July 10, 2010
Review submitted for Fujifilm FinePix HS10 10 MP 30x Wide Angle Zoom Digital Camera (FJFPHS10)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Short Lag Time, Great Zoom, Nice Body Color
Cons: Bigheavy due to features
Other Comments: Great for fast frame rates/sports and kids. Eye sensor to automatically switch from evf to LCD very good for checking during fast action. Elevated ISO noise (1600 and up) in low light disappointing but expected and cleans up well in noise reduction software - but maintains detail better than other similar cameras. Fast external access buttons a major plus. Histogram versatility a welcome and very useful feature. Can be used simply or by taking advantage of a rather complex feature set. EV finder low quality but can be used. Excellent contrast range for this size sensor - very few blown highlights.

4 out of 5 stars   Better than an SLR
By Pixi (Fairport, NY) June 28, 2010
Review submitted for Fujifilm FinePix HS10 10 MP 30x Wide Angle Zoom Digital Camera (FJFPHS10)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Short Lag Time, Nice Body Color
Cons: Short Battery Life
Other Comments: This camera is better than an SLR. Lots and lots of controls. It can be used in auto mode for quick pictures or in total control mode where all adjustments (ISO,WB,S, A, etc...) can be quickly made using the buttons and the command dial. No need to carry extra lenses or clean the mirror. Sabilization is good. The movable liquid crystal display makes it possible to get unusual pictures. At this time I am not sure what compromises were made to get a 30X zoom. Based on limited use the pictures look good but the battery life seems a bit short. Getting NO printed manual is a bummer. The enclosed software CD would not fit on my Toshiba laptop. I had to download the full Manual, print it and have it bound which cost dearly.

By Chris (St Lucia) May 05, 2010
Review submitted for Fujifilm FinePix HS10 10 MP 30x Wide Angle Zoom Digital Camera (FJFPHS10)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Good Image Stabilization, Nice Body Color
Cons: Limited Image Quality, Short Battery Life
Other Comments: I haven't put it through all of its paces just yet but so far its great! Its light in the hand, features are easy to get to and there are quite a few of them. It does however make you want to fully zoom in and the overall picture quality to good but not the best - they have however recently added a firmware update. Great camera for the cost.
