APS-C 16M "X-Trans CMOS"

Developed to take advantage of the exceptional resolution of the XF lens, a revolutionary sensor inspired by film.

X-Trans CMOS

Moire is tackled at its root cause by the innovative color filter array of the new sensor. By enhancing the aperiodicity (randomness) in the array arrangement, the color filter minimizes the generation of moire and false colors, eliminating the necessity for an optical low-pass filter in the lens and enabling the sensor to capture the full "unfiltered" resolution and descriptive quality of the XF lens

Interchangeable Fujinon XF Lens

FUJIFILM is pleased to announce the launch of two new models to the FUJINON XF Lens range bringing the total number of lenses available to five, offering much broader photographic appeal. Another unique five lenses will be added in the line-up in early 2013, making the total to 10 lenses.

X Mount

To exploit every photon of the exceptional descriptive performance of these new lenses, an original lens mount has been specially designed for X-Pro1. The reinforced mount ring is remarkably thin - approximately 2.5mm - further improving X-Pro1's slim profile when the lens is mounted. Using a 10 pin system, the lens instantly sends information to the camera body through the lens mount, making the lenses work seamlessly with the body and letting the photographer concentrate on what is really important - beautiful photographic expression.

Hybrid Multi Viewfinder

Featuring the freedom to switch between an optical and electronic viewfinder, the Hybrid Viewfinder has evolved to meet the challenge of interchangeable lenses. When an XF series lens is mounted, lens data are communicated to X-Pro1, and viewfinder magnification (2 types) and frame size (multiple steps) are automatically switched. Peering through the viewfinder with all your attention focused on the subject. This simple style of shooting is the both the first step back to the essential pleasure of photography. Every lens change reveals a new world of beauty to capture.

Optical Viewfinder (OVF)

Perfectly frame each shot with the sharply defined bright frame projected by a built-in, high-performance LCD panel. You also have the freedom to customize what information is displayed in the viewfinder for easy confirmation of the settings you need.

Perfectly Frame and Preview Your Shot with the Electronic Viewfinder (EVF)

Enjoy 100% coverage on a sharp image display produced by a 0.47-inch high definition LCD boasting approximately 1,440,000 dots of resolution. Delivering a crisp, clear display of the scene for both "Live View" framing and a quick post-shot review of your results, the EVF is ideal when composing macro shots and other scenes that demand high-precision framing.

Magnifying System

When you change XF-series lenses, both the viewfinder magnification and bright frame size automatically switch to support the lens focal length. Viewfinder magnification switches to 0.37x when the 18mm lens is mounted, and to 0.60x for the 35mm or 60mm lens, letting you frame your shot with the bright, crystal clarity of an optical image. You can also manually set a focal distance and switch between viewfinder magnifications by holding down the viewfinder switch lever for over 2 seconds.

Reproduce Photo Film Expression with Film Simulation Mode

Just like choosing the perfect film to match your creative direction, the X-Pro1 can simulate the color and tonal qualities of acclaimed film brands including the true-to-scene natural look of PROVIA, the vibrant tonality and saturated colors of Velvia and the silky soft look and beautiful skin tones of ASTIA. Film Simulation mode makes it simple to capture the expressive color quality of the rich legacy of Fujifilm photo film technology.

Enhance Monochrome Expression with Color Filters

Replicating the effects of monochrome film photography, X-Pro1 lets you use color filters to expand your photographic expression. Heighten contrast with the Ye filter and R filter. Brighten greens and deepen reds with the G filter. Just as pro film photographers once selected a filter and printing paper to complement their creative vision, you can easily tune image quality with filters. You can also transform your subject with the warm nostalgic tones of Sepia mode.

Add a New Dimension to Photographic Expression with Multiplex Exposure

In film cameras, multiplex exposure is the unique photographic technique of superimposing one image on another by double exposing a single frame of film. Through advanced digital processing, X-Pro1 can simulate this technique, expanding your creative expression. Just select Multiplex Exposure mode and take your first shot using either OVF or EVF. While viewing it on the LCD screen, you can frame and shoot the second exposure. This ability to precisely position and focus the second shot lets you not only "see" how the finished Multiplex Exposure image will look, but also explore other creative photographic possibilities.

Selection of 4 Powerful Auto Bracketing Functions

Experience a wide world of photographic expression with a choice of 4 different auto bracketing functions (AE, ISO Sensitivity, Dynamic Range and Film Simulation).

AE Bracketing

One press of the shutter captures 3 shots of the same scene at different exposures. AE bracketing can be set in 1/3, 2/3 and 1 EV steps.

ISO Sensitivity Bracketing

Based on a single exposure, this bracketing function automatically reproduces the scene as 3 images, each with a different ISO sensitivity and without changing the shutter speed and aperture, letting you capture the moment with varying degrees of brightness. Setting is possible in 1/3, 2/3 and 1 EV steps.

Dynamic Range Bracketing

Press the shutter once and high-speed continuous shooting captures 3 exposures of the same scene, each at a different dynamic range setting (100%, 200% & 400%).

Film Simulation Bracketing

Just release the shutter once and produce 3 images of the scene based on a single exposure, each image with a different Film Simulation effect that you have freely selected and pre-set.
