UltraWide 21:9
The UltraWide 21:9 aspect ratio makes movies and games more immersive than ever. Need to get some work done, too? All of that UltraWide real estate makes it easy to view multiple documents at the same time, so you don't need to flip back and forth between them.

Mac Compatible
Graphic designers will surely appreciate the many features of LG's Mac-compatible UltraWide monitor. The 21:9 widescreen and 4-Screen Split will simplify working with multiple graphics windows. Disclaimer: Mac is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries.

sRGB 99%
sRGB is the standard color space of ideal color reproduction. So, with over 99% coverage of the sRGB spectrum, this LG monitor is a great solution for professional photographers, graphic designers or anyone looking for highly accurate color.

4-Screen Split
Multitasking doesn't have to mean shuffling back and forth between windows. With a single click, the 4-Screen Split feature divides the screen into as many as four customizable segments, two-by-two. Now you can see four different windows at the same time

Dual Linkup
The Dual Linkup feature allows two compatible portable devices--such as a computer, camera, phone, or Blu-ray player--to be connected to the monitor, and both can be viewed on the same screen simultaneously.

IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology enhances the performance of liquid crystal displays. Response times are shortened, color reproduction is improved, and users can now view the screen at virtually any angle.

Full HD 1080p Resolution
This stunning picture is the reason you wanted HDTV in the first place. With almost double the pixel resolution, Full HD 1080p gives it superior picture quality over standard HDTV. You'll see details and colors like never before.

Earning the ENERGY STAR means a product meets strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. For TVs, it means they save energy both in standby and active (when they're on) modes. ENERGY STAR qualified TVs use about 30% less energy than standard units

5M:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio
A dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 is your assurance of strong video performance, with deep blacks, bright whites and pleasing colors.

4 out of 5 stars   Cool Monitor With Provisions

Pros: Just enough wider to give you that little bit of extra room. 2nd input if you want to watch two 4 X 3 sources side by side. RGB color matching for those who work with art. With an older computer it will allow you to line up multiple windows in pages so you can page between them.
Cons: 21 X 9 is really only usable for two screens wide if you have a new computer that supports the wider resolution, and that's not mentioned in the advertisements. Backlighting isn't as even across the screen as I'd like. Some areas appear yellowish, some grayish, some white. LG tech support appears to be open from when they feel like it until they feel like closing.
Other Comments: Glad I bought the 29" instead of the 34". I'd have been upset if I'd have paid the price of the 34" for this level of performance. It's better than the standard monitor I was using, I sit with it less than 2 feet from my face and can't see any pixels which is outstanding, but it is expensive all things considered. It's good, but it's decidedly not great. Is it worth $100 more than a 16 X 9 monitor if you have an older computer, probably. Is it worth any more than that, really no. If you have a newer computer that will support the higher resolutions it may well be worth the money but the backlighting issue is still there, and LG isn't really providing any solutions.
