The popular Nikon Monarch has been redesigned! The old Monarch were great binoculars at an affordable price. It was waterproof, nitrogen purged and roof prism design. Now the Monarch has all the same great features but with added phase coatings, internal center focusing, and it's lighter weight. They are now improved binoculars and still a very attractive choice in their price range. Nikon's exclusive Eco-Glass(made without the use of arsenic or lead) is used for all lens and prism elements, and the prisms feature phase-correction and high reflection mirror coatings for superior sharpness and resolution. Every air-to-glass surface received multiple anti-reflective coatings, resulting in a 12x42 with much improved brightness, resolution and edge-to-edge sharpness.
