The Rokinon 35mm F/1.4 AS UMC A spherical Wide Angle lens is an optically sophisticated lens designed for full-frame cameras. It can also be used on APS-C and Four Thirds cameras. The lens is beautifully constructed with two lenses made of quality glass with a high refraction factor. Weight and dimensions can therefore be as minimal as possible. The lens is also constructed with one a spherical lens that prevents horizontal chromatic aberration. Rokinon has also added a focusing scale to this new lens, which will help the user focus more accurately. With its high quality, dense, anti-reflexive layers, this new Rokinon lens produces stunningly high contrasts and perfectly reflects natural colors. Images come out crystal clear and sharp.

Real good value compared to the Canon 35mm at 1500$. Excellent picture clarity and maximum bokeh even from a minimal distance to the subject. Needs some practice with the manual focus, once you get a hang of it no one can stop you from those awesome clicks!

For the price, this a good lens.
just as good as the Canon 35 1.4L

Used with Canon 5D MKII, with live view, this lens is great. Plus you save a ton of money. Just as good as the Canon 35 1.4L minus the autofocus.

I use this on my Canon 5DMII for documentary film shooting and night timelapse. Great look for the price. Great in low light. My new favorite. Right up there with my Canon 70-200 2.8 ISII

Best 35mm for the money
from Crestwood, KY
For the money, this is an exceptional kit of glass. One of the sharpest lenses I've ever used, even wide open. Manual focus can be a challenge, but I was able to affix a confirm chip. After calibrating, confirm works fairly well. With the stock focus screen @ f1.4, there is still some variability in the confirm that can make or break an extreme closeup.

Great lens for the price but a bit heavy.
