This heavy duty TTL cord is designed to fit Canon Cameras that use dedicated flash units. Connect your Canon Speedlite on one end of the cord while the other and will be mounted to the Hot Shoe unit of your EOS camera, useful when you wish to achieve off-camera flash photography results without the harsh shadows behind your subjects common when using direct flash exposures.
Features a molded shoe on one end that slides onto the camera hot shoe and locks to prevent accidental dislodging of the shoe.
A second shoe mounts onto a flash bracket or light stand via either a standard foot with lock or a 1/4-20 thread.
The top of the shoe accepts the flash unit. A heavy duty 3 foot coiled cord connects the shoes.
maintains all on-camera flash functions (including E-TTL II) for one Canon-compatible shoe-mount flash unit used off-camera at distances up to 3'. It is compatible with all Canon EOS or G series cameras - digital or film - except for the 630 and RT cameras.

Comments about Zeikos Off-Camera Shoe Cord AF TTL (Canon):
I have used this flash for insect macros and for portraits. Thus far, I am very satisfied with the performance. I've only used it twice but it has met my expectations. Insect macros require capturing subject in their habitat and perfect natural lighting is a rarity. This flash performed well and the results I got in a very shaded area were exceptional. Many of the reviews I read expressed concern about the durability of the product, so I'm hoping that over time it will not be an issue. I would recommend this product over its more expensive counterparts.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought this flash extension cable to have the ability to take my flash off the hot shoe and put it in a different position for specific lighting purposes, or mount it on a handle grip. I'm a total amateur but figured this would be a good accessory to have. This extension cable works fine. The only real down side is that when mounted on the hot shoe, the cable sticks forward out the front of the shoe, causing it to interfere with the lens. I have to wrap the coil around the camera strap to hold it out of the way. It also sticks forwards out the front of the flash but I haven't used it enough yet to know if this will be a problem. It would be very handy if the mounting ends were able to swivel and move the wire to a more desired position. Also, the coil is quite stiff which would put a bit of strain on the shoe and the flash mounting points if stretched to its 3 ft. limit. Overall, even though it's made in China this flash extension cable unit seems to be made pretty durable. I haven't used it enough to know its long term reliability or durability.

I used this cord for 20 minutes before a piece of plastic flew off out of nowhere and the whole thing fell apart! It still flashed and communicated with my camera but would not stay attached to the hotshoe and wires were sticking out. I can't believe how quickly this fell apart.[...] will definitely spend more money on a better product.
