4 out of 5 stars   Great long range binoculars.
By James D (Vermont) June 26, 2012
Review submitted for Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Astro Waterproof Porro Prism Binocular (CT20X80SM)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Waterproof, Quality Lenses, Strong Construction
Cons:
Other Comments: These binoculars were a gift for my sister who has an incredible panoramic view from her balcony. We mounted them on a tripod. They are really bright and powerful and she is enjoying them immensely. She called last night to tell us that on a crisp day she finally identified a large object in the distance that we had puzzled over for years. It was over 30 miles away! I wouldn't want to use them without the tripod though!

Review submitted for Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Astro Waterproof Porro Prism Binocular (CT20X80SM)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Strong Construction, Quality Lenses, Waterproof
Cons: Unstable, Bulky
Other Comments: I will use this as a spotting scope, and comet hunter. You will need a tripod with this pair because you can't hold them up for more than a minute without shaking.

4 out of 5 stars   20 x 80 Sky Master
By Deerme1 (Central Illinois) January 01, 2012
Review submitted for Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Astro Waterproof Porro Prism Binocular (CT20X80SM)
Verified Purchaser
Pros: Gathers light well
Cons: Difficult To Focus
Other Comments: I use these to scout game during dawn and dusk conditions, out of a car, using the window as a rest. Without a rest, the image is fairly stable, due in part to the weight of the unit. Since the binocs are quite large and heavy, they would not be very suitable for carrying in the field. The field of view is decent. The image quality is average for the price range. The focus is a bit strange but works. I have not used it for star gazing yet. Light gathering is very good, allowing viewing of Deer at a half mile after I cannot even tell they are there with the naked eye.

Pros: Strong Construction, Quality Lenses, Works Well With Glasses
Cons:
Other Comments: I bought specifically for night sky viewing but I found them th be a great binocular for wildlife and bird watching. They are a large and heavy binocular best used with a tripod but this was understood considering what I expected of them.
