This lens has been minimized in size and weight and can easily be used at the 400mm end with today's faster emulsions. The optics have a built-in flare cutter mechanism which remove unnecessary light (flare) and gives clean, sharp images. Adding a dedicated bayonet lens hood, designed for maximum coverage, further eliminates flare. A built in tripod collar allows the lens to rotate 360x and be locked in any position, has been added to provide much greater balance and stability while the camera is mounted on a tripod.
