5 out of 5 stars   EXCELLENT HARD NUT GRINDER
By BILLY on April 18, 2013

Review submitted for Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor (Die Cast) (CUIFP14DC)
Pros: Easy To Clean, Powerful Motor, Durable, Easy to Start
Cons: Heavy To Pickup
Other Comments: Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor saved me A couple of thousand of dollars from buying a commercial peanut butter grinder. I make my own almond butter and I always had a hard time getting a good crumb grind from whole almonds. But problem solved, my Cuisinart Elite makes almond crumbs from whole almond nuts in a minute or two. Excellent texture to make almond butter. Also I enjoy chopped romaine lettuce and tomatoes together with just a pulse or two and I get the right texture. The unit though is heavy to move from space to another because there aren't any extended handles to get a firm hold.

Pros: Perfect, Easy To Clean, Durable
Cons:
Other Comments: This is amazing it is very well built and works flawlessly. High Power motor, very quick. We went back and forth on rather to buy this one or the smaller version... I'm so glad we opted for the larger I may never use everything but it is very nice to have if needed. My only complaint is It is very heavy.

5 out of 5 stars   Really enjoy it, but hard to clean.

Review submitted for Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor (Die Cast) (CUIFP14DC)
Pros: Lots of Space, Durable, Love retractable cord
Cons: Uneven cut, Moisture buildup, Hard to Clean
Other Comments: I have really enjoyed this food processor. I have only had it a short time, but use it daily. The only issue I have is it is difficult to clean. After placing the large work bowl in the dishwasher I noticed a ton of moisture inside the transparent handle. I have since decided to not take any chances with mold and to clean it by hand. (Which is not a big deal for me). But, the space on the lid between the plastic and the seal tight feature also collects food. There was a small tool included to stick in the space and get it out, but this can be frustrating and time consuming. Although, even knowing this I would buy it anyway.

Review submitted for Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor (Die Cast) (CUIFP14DC)
Pros: Durable
Cons:
Other Comments: The machine was well worth the money that I spent. It is a bit heavy but the quality makes up for that. I was impressed on how quiet the machine is. CONS: I like the seal on the lid, but cleaning is somewhat undesirable, but this would not discourage me from purchasing this item again.

3 out of 5 stars   Not for rigorous use
By Do it yourself on April 08, 2012

Review submitted for Cuisinart Elite Collection 14-Cup Food Processor (Die Cast) (CUIFP14DC)
Pros: Variable slicing disc, Multiple bowls
Cons: Not BPA free, Plastic motor armature
Other Comments: I bought this after reading many reviews. Despite the BPA plastic, despite the seal cleaning problems, despite the many reviews about how the buttons stopped working, it still seemed like the best processor available for the price. Upon receiving it, I saw immediately that the motor shaft (armature) is made of plastic. Some things are fine to make out of plastic; the bowls for example. But the motor armature? That's crazy. I read reviews of the shaft breaking, and thought the people probably had to much food in it or something, but now I can see why this is very likely to break. Would you want the drive shaft of your car made out of plastic? The dashboard yes... The drive shaft no. The shaft will have years of hard torque on it. It will break. Sure, it has a long warranty. Do you really want to have to send it back? I also noticed that despite the heavy duty base, the buttons themselves are covered with a very thin silver plastic which looks like it could crack, or wear through with much use. I make all my own bread, grind corn for masa, soy beans for tofu. I need a processor that will stand up to rigorous use. This is not that processor. I will spend the extra money and buy the Breville.
