a holiday synonymous with relaxed family celebrations that range from parades and concerts to barbeques and fireworks.\u00a0 Although we try to attend these events each year, the truth is we don\u2019t.\u00a0 Perhaps one of the reasons we have such fond memories of those amazing outdoor July 4 concerts at the amphitheater, is because we don\u2019t celebrate like that every year, making it special.\u00a0 What about the years we don\u2019t go to a public event or fireworks?\u00a0 Do we remember those July 4 holidays?\u00a0 Probably not as much, if at all.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s time to make 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July weekend from home memorable.\u00a0 If you\u2019re planning on staying home this year and not sure what to do, don\u2019t worry.\u00a0 Celebrating Independence Day from home can be just as much fun as going out.\u00a0 I\u2019ll say that if you\u2019re reading this, that means you\u2019re already looking for things to do for 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July. \u00a0I would wager your holiday will be amazing.\u00a0 So, without further ado, let\u2019s get into it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Decorations &amp; Crafts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Like any party or celebration, the first thing to do is set the mood.\u00a0 Decorations are the best way to establish a setting and create a vibe.\u00a0 A quick trip to your local party store should cover any red, white, and blue decorations you want to hang.\u00a0 It\u2019s good to game plan what sections of your home you want to decorate before you go.\u00a0 I encourage indoor and outdoor with an emphasis on outdoors.\u00a0 Most likely you will be spending a lot of time outside with activities and maybe even a BBQ.\u00a0 Plus, it\u2019s a great way to spread July 4<sup>th<\/sup> cheer across your neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>Art &amp; crafts are other fun ways to add onto your July 4<sup>th<\/sup> decorations and a fun activity for everyone.\u00a0 Be creative with your 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July crafts activities.\u00a0 You would be surprised how many craft projects you can come up with by just using many of your everyday household items.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Star Spangled Art<\/li>\n<li>Create a Flag Medley<\/li>\n<li>Sensory crafts using red, white, and blue theme<\/li>\n<li>Ice Crafts<\/li>\n<li>Design fake rockets (for display)<\/li>\n<li>Build patriotic flower baskets<\/li>\n<li>Make patriotic candle glass jars with paint\n<ul>\n<li>Mason Jars will offer a variety of crafting ideas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Art Sidewalk Chalk projects<\/li>\n<li>Custom colored patriotic T-shirts<\/li>\n<li>Science projects with colors<\/li>\n<li>Science projects with electricity<\/li>\n<li>Decorate yourself &#8211; Dress up in patriotic colors\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-14568  aligncenter\" 4<sup>th<\/sup> that is fun for the whole family, and you can add them to the decorations.\u00a0 The possibilities of things you can color through safe, fun, scientific means, while also building crafts are endless.\u00a0 Use some of the ideas I presented to customize craft projects geared towards your families\u2019 skills and interests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Games &amp; Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No matter your age, everyone loves to have fun so you\u2019re going to need 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buydig.com\/shop\/search.aspx?kwd=games&amp;fc=1010&amp;lmt=100&amp;srt=relevancy&amp;utm_content=buffer4d811&amp;omid=335&amp;ref=Blog&amp;utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_medium=Social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">games<\/a> and activities to keep everyone lively.\u00a0 I would encourage a couple new games for your family to keep the experience fresh.\u00a0 You don\u2019t know what the weather will be like, so it is good to plan for indoor and outdoor fun.\u00a0 Preferably, you want to be outside, but things like board games, card games, toys and video games are all great indoor ideas to have available.\u00a0 I would also recommend having a few patriotic movies available just in case rain keeps you inside.\u00a0 Let\u2019s have a look at some outside activity ideas.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Potato Sack race<\/li>\n<li>Stay cool in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buydig.com\/shop\/search.aspx?kwd=firepit&amp;omid=335&amp;ref=Blog&amp;utm_source=Blog&amp;utm_medium=Social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">firepit<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>..and what is July 4<sup>th<\/sup> Independence Day without history ideas that honors our freedom while providing education and fun.\u00a0 Take this July fourth back to the 18<sup>th<\/sup> century when delegates from the original 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to a new nation.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Craft your very own Household Declaration of Independence<\/li>\n<li>Read history stories of the founding of the United States of America<\/li>\n<li>Produce a in home July 4<sup>th<\/sup> play (would be a fun home video there is no shortage of July 4<sup>th<\/sup> recipes online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make it Bigger<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now that you have a beautifully decorated home with tons of fun things to do on the 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July, you should consider inviting some of your friends and neighbors to join in your celebration.\u00a0 Friends can help enhance the fun in your activities, and your friend\u2019s family and kids will love doing crafts and playing together.\u00a0 You can also think of doing a block party that spreads the celebration over a few houses.\u00a0 One house does the craft activities, while the other takes care of the food.\u00a0 If this interests you, speak to your friends and see what they think.<\/p>\n<p>Weather you choose to make it a larger event or keep it to just your family, the only important thing is that it is fun and relaxing.\u00a0 Friends can help do some of the work and cleanup, and on the other hand you may not want the pressure. \u00a0In this case, keep
