There are two exciting new Nikkor Z lenses<\/a> in their high-end Z series. These have been designed and are scheduled to be released in the coming months. Both lenses will be compatible with the Nikon Z series cameras and fall into the Nikon Z lens roadmap led by the Nikon Z9.<\/p>\n

Nikon has developed the S line Nikkor Z 85mm F\/1.2S which is a mid-telephoto prime lens which is very fast. In addition, the Nikkor Z 26mm F\/2.8 which is a pancake slim wide angle prime lens. Both new lenses are compatible with the Nikon Z Mount system. Both lenses are perfect for shooters of stills and video recording.<\/p>\n

The NIKKOR Z 26mm Z-Mount Lens<\/h2>\n

The Nikkor Z 26mm F\/2.8<\/a> is the lightest prime lens of all the Z series lenses. It is a 26mm focal length with a blazing maximum aperture of F\/2.8 and a minimum aperture of F\/16, producing amazing image quality. When using the F\/2.8 lens which has lifelike sharpness, extravagantly blurred backgrounds creating a tremendous Bokeh effect. It adapts well to low light performance and a creative field of view.<\/p>\n

This pancake lens is extremely lightweight and the slimmest of the new Nikkor Z lenses. The approximate weight is 4.50 oz, which makes for versatile portability.<\/p>\n

A new STM Motors (stepping motor) is space saving and allows for the elements of the lens to move simultaneously. Utilizing the F\/2.8 lens gives a great angle of view when shooting stills or videos of street photography. This motor also allows for quiet autofocus. This is a boon when shooting video.<\/p>\n

On this Nikon lens, the combination of the larger Z mount and the fast f\/2.8 aperture allows for significant light, and the shutter speed can be set higher to prevent blur or shoot videos. In addition with the smooth control ring with manual focus, you can adjust the ISO sensitivity and exposure compensation. The lens hood’s design protects the from the elements.<\/p>\n

The NIKKOR Z 85mm Z-Mount Lens<\/h2>\n

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f\/1.2 S Z-Mount Prime Lens<\/a> is a great mirrorless lens from the new Z line of Nikon lenses. This Nikkor Z 85mm f\/1.2 S is the second 85mm for the system. It high-end features and being a part of the S-Line series sets this lens apart from others. It is built with a accurate autofocus and speedy dual STM motors. This is an extremely fast mid-telephoto lens.<\/p>\n

The F1.2 aperture gathers twice the light as an f\/1.8 lens, for razor-thin depth of field. For video use, focus breathing also known as lens breathing is minimized. Focus breathing allows the lenses focal length to change quietly on both as it can magnify images at different focusing distances. Both zoom, portrait lenses and prime lenses can perform this to different extents.
