Most of us consider our pets family and will do almost anything to help them stay happy and healthy. \u201cPet appreciation week\u201d\u00a0is a pet holiday running June 3rd<\/sup> -9th <\/sup>meant to show how grateful we are for our pets. The idea of the holiday is to connect with your pet on a more fun level and show them how much we really love and appreciate them.\u00a0They do so much for us from loving us unconditionally to alleviating stress and keeping us healthy by getting us outside for a walk. Here are some easy ways to pay them back this week and every day!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Quality time<\/strong>
\nOur pet\u2019s favorite activity is hanging out with their favorite human! So put the phone down, grab a leash or a feather toy<\/a>, and enjoy your furry friend. Go on an outdoor adventure

\n<\/strong>Of course you can be a petless animal lover! There are always fun ways you can help out at your local animal shelter. Offer to spend time with the dogs and cats by playing and giving them some much needed attention and belly rubs. Read a children\u2019s book outside of their cage. This simple act has a positive effect on especially shy and fearful dogs without forcing physical interaction with them.<\/p>\n

Doggy Play Zone
\n<\/strong>Consider adding a few features to your yard making it a doggy play zone. Get Fido a little wading pool, or add a sandbox and bury some toys for your four-legged pal. You can also make a doggy obstacle course.<\/p>\n
