Starting with its huge 20.1" LCD, the HP Pavilion HDX9010NR stands out. This notebook, from HP's new HDX series, provides high-end entertainment features and powerful performance, featuring a powerful Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Other advanced features include an optical drive that offers HD DVD playback and multiformat DVD/CD burning, a TV tuner for both standard (NTSC) as well as HD (ATSC) television signals, high-performance graphics, Wireless-N capability, a sound system with 4 discrete speakers and integrated subwoofer, plus a generous 2.0GB memory and 240GB disk storage. There is also a built-in Web camera and fingerprint reader, and the keyboard has a separate integrated numeric pad. A full-featured remote control is included.

The HD DVD-ROM/SuperMulti DVD drive lets you play HD DVD high-definition movies, and burn and play CDs and DVDs, including CD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-RAM and DVD+R Double Layer, with a capacity of 8.5GB per disc. And, using the built in HDMI port, you can even view HD content on your HDTV.

Wireless-N (draft 802.11n), the latest in wireless, can provide increased wireless speed and range, particularly in a Wireless-N network. Support is also provided for 802.11a/b/g, for seamless connectivity with most existing wireless networks.

HP QuickPlay lets you play music CDs and movie DVDs within seconds after power turn-on, without booting the operating system.
